6 bacon strips, diced
1 small onion, diced
1 (16 ounce) package frozen cut green beans
1 large tart apple, chopped
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, cook bacon and onion over medium heat until bacon is crisp. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until the apple and beans are tender.

This was really good. I like the combination of everything together - went well with the pork we had as a main. I have to admit that I didn't put as much of the sugar or cider vinegar as called for because it was hot this afternoon and I didn't want this to be to heavy. I'll try it again as written when the weather is cooler. Thanks!

it was good however the cider vinegar was very overwhelming. a little less apple would make the bacon flavor pop out more.
