I did not have the mushrooms, and instead of putting them as kabobs,I made them inside. They still turned out great! Now that the weather is finally nicer, will definitely try these kabobs on the grill.

Too salty. I used green peppers and red onions instead of mushrooms and green onions. I also was out of ginger! I will try these again when I get some though. I'll try using a low sodium soy sauce (if that's available).

This is the first time I have ever made my own "marinade". The marinade flavor was very delicious, but I will try to make these on a grill instead of the oven next time. I think they would have been perfect right off the grill. They became a little dry using the broiler in the oven. These were completely gone at the party I made, so everyone must have liked them too.

I thickened the marinade while cooking the chicken with it on the stovetop and it turned into a wonderful teryaki chicken dinner. Yum!

This marinade is delicious and I took the advice of others and doubled it and reserved about 1/4 of the marinade for basting. Definitely double. I used fresh ground ginger root (only about a teaspoon)and added 3 pressed garlic cloves. I didn't cube the chicken, but rather marinated three skinless chicken breast halves and grilled them. I only marinated them for about three hours and that wasn't enough as the marinade didn't penetrate the chicken well. Overnight would probably have been better, but this wasn't the fault of the recipe. The flavor of the marinade was bold and outstanding.

Yum, yum! This recipe is so good! And versatile! I made a double batch and discovered I didn't have enough soy sauce, so I made up for it with worcestershire sauce and a dab of A1. YUM! Unfortunately, the gathering I made it for did NOT care for the onions, so I had leftovers, which I stir-fried with veggies- my husband loved it!

Served this as the entree for dinner last night and it was so easy and so good! I used 1 lb. thin sliced chicken breasts and the cooking time was perfect. I didn't use mushrooms or green onions but did add red and green peppers. Served with rice and sauteed veggies.

These were fantastic!! I have never made kabobs myself and they were so easy. I would rate this 4.75 stars because I did add real minced garlic (2 cloves) and marinated some red bell pepper pieces and white onions with the chicken. I also used low sodium soy sauce and next time I will add some cayenne or red pepper flakes for some extra kick.

These were really good! The only minor issue was that I made them for my husband and myself the night before my party, and they were pretty salty. I think using the low sodium soy like others mentioned would be a better idea. Anyways I had already purchased enough soy sauce for the party, so I used the amount needed and added a splash of water to dilute the salt a bit. They were much better for my party!

Super. The chicken came out perfect. The sugar in the marinade added a great crust on it which I think locked in teh juices. We added more veggies including pineapple and used these for a main couse. Thanks for a great recipe.

These were pretty good. The broiling instructions were perfect. Instead of mushrooms and green onions, I used yellow onion and bell pepper. The onion and pepper cooked wonderfully- they were my favorite part!

I have been using this recipe for over one year. These are the best all my friends and family loves them. Instead putting on skewers I put the meat right on the grill I cut the meat cut up two inch pieces. I don't use the vegetables at all. Besides chicken I have used duck and pheasant this works great with any meat you want to grill.

The small size of the kabobs let them grill up on the crispy side. I added zuchinni slices, red bell pepper, and sliced serrano peppers for color and some heat. My guests loved them. I arranged the kabobs in a grilling basket to make them easier to flip and remove.
