I substituted the roasted red bell pepper for mixed pickled veggies (carrot, cucumber, onion, red bell pepper) and added a can of sliced black olived. I drained really well and patted dry with paper towels. I also added 1/4 tsp of dried oregano to the parmesan egg mixture. It was really yummy and tasted more like a muffaletta sandwich!

Really easy to make and EVERYONE loves it! Made this for girls game night and everyone loved these little sandwiches. I did use hard salami instead of Genoa and it tasted better. No other changes, very simple and very delicious! To heat up the next day.. heat it up in a skillet to get the same flakey crust!

Made for a neighborhood block party. Used garlic flavored dough and only used two eggs. Also cooked the bottom for 6 minutes before layering meats and cheese. Everyone loved it!

These were excelent. I made them exactly as written (I did make my own roasted peppers) and it was a huge hit at bowling night. Very easy to make and they travel well. Will definitely make them again.

Both my mom and I make this and it never fails - huge hit! They are a great brunch item, as well as a perfect item that displays well on a platter to bring to a party. This recipe works with a number of fillings as well - a good imagination takes what is nearly perfect without your help to exactly what you want it to be!

I made half with chicken and mushrooms, and I substituted the cheeses listed with just provolone and mozzarella. I eliminated the peppers. My whole family loved it.

I won't list the things I changed, but overall these were super! I think they were even better heated up the next day. We had them for dinner - kind of a substitute pizza. Looking forward to the next time!!

Loved this!! Got creative since some reviewers said it was bland- I brushed the top layer with prepared pesto before the final layer of crescent dough and egg. It was a huge hit at my party!!

Pretty good but lacking on some flavor. I poured a little Italian dressing on mine and thought it was much better.

Yum, Yum, Yum! This recipe is sooo good. I used the Garlic and butter crescent rolls and upped the temp, but I had to lower it to get it cooked in the middle. I suggest following the recipe exactly, making sure that you dry your peppers really well and you will have an amazing recipe. I had it for dinner with a salad, and then cold as a late night snack and both were FAB!!!!!! Give this one a try you won't regret it!

This is good warm and room temp. Perfect to take to a party. I made it with hard salami instead of genoa, but cooked as directed and it turns out great!

This was really good. I baked the bottom crust for 6 minutes at 375. I then layered it as directed, covered with foil and baked for 25 minutes at 375. I uncovered it then baked for 20 more minutes. It was a little overcooked so next time i'll cook uncovered for 13-15 minutes. It was perfect for a rainy Sunday night supper like tonight!

Excellent! I followed most of the Most Helpful reviews about patting dry the peppers and changing the cooking temp, etc. This is great to serve for parties cut into little squares... just make sure to let it cool and set a bit before cutting it. I always have people ask me how I made it.
