I am in love with this chicken. I have made it several times and everyone I've served it too has really enjoyed it. At first I thought the teriyaki/ranch combo was strange but it had so many good reviews I had to try it, and they were right! I do use real bacon instead of bacon bits and I probably add more cheese since that's one of my favorite things.

I hate when reviewers give 5 stars, but change the whole recipe. I followed all the directions and this came out fantastic! We had my parents over and they raved about it. It took me a while, but I found one bottle of teriyaki baste in the Asian isle of my market. I served with mashed potatoes and seasoned broccoli. Thanks!

Oh, this is goooood. At first, I thought it was odd to use teriyaki sauce but it turned out to be a perfect accompaniment.

This has become a staple at our house. My husband is very picky. He likes to eat like a 6 yr old (macaroni n cheese and hot dogs). So it's hard to find meals that he and I both enjoy so much. It also works great for a crowd. It works great if your helping someone out with meals as well. Best of all it is so simple I can now make it off the top of my head.

I liked this dish but thought it needed a few changes. Definitely make sure you use a thicker sauce or you wont have much flavor to your chicken. I used homemade ranch, much better then store bought. Also used a couple strips of real bacon instead of bacon bits. next time I think I will wrap the bacon around the chicken since that was my favorite part.

I was really skeptical about mixing the teriyaki sauce with the ranch sauce but once again, Allrecipes did not fail me! Based on the reviews, I just had to try this recipe and it was DELICIOUS! I didn't fry the chicken first, just threw it in the over. The chicken was moist and VERY savory! I don't recommend adding any additional salt or seasonings because the mixture of sauces along with the bacon (I used bacos real bacon bits) made it pretty salty. I also think that mixing the ranch and the teriyaki was a good idea. All in all, a fabulous recipe. I'll be making again very soon! Perfect for company - something a little different to serve. The only thing I think I'd change is the name. :-) I think I'll dub this, "loaded baked potato chicken".

We really like this one, too, but made a substitution out of necessity...no teriyaki sauce. I has Sezhuan stir-fry sauce and used that (can't imagine the taste would be that much different)...marinated my chicken in it for about 30 minutes before pan-frying. It gave the chicken a nice carmelized outside...a nice addition to the ranch/cheese/bacon. I will make this often.

I also marinated the chicken in the teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes, browned the chicken in olive oil, and then mixed the marinade with the ranch and poured it on top of the chicken. I added the cheese and real bacon the last ten minutes of baking. Served with rice - it was very tasty! Husband and I loved it, kids thought it was okay.

This is how I made it: Mix the teriyaki and ranch, add chicken and marinate for a few hours. Meanwhile, cook bacon strips. Take chicken from marinade and grill over charcoal. When just done, top each piece with two strips of bacon and slice of cheese. We all liked this recipe, and it is fast and has a very "restaurant" feel to it. But even with marinating there wasn't a LOT of flavor, and I imagine the grilling added to it rather than subtracted. I hope I remember to make it again. :-)

I thought this turned out really well. ((My husband and oldest daughter didn't care too much for it though.)) I marinated the chicken in the teriyaki while I fried some real bacon. Using a bit of the grease I lightly browned the chicken. Added to the dish and topped with the ranch and green onions. They baked for about 20 minutes and then I added a bunch of cheese and the crumbled bacon. I baked it another 15 minutes and they were ready. I thought the flavors were great and the chicken was very juicy. But the other two said is was just OK. Well, I am the cook and I will make it again!!

My boyfriend told me I get an A+ for the night. Even hours after dinner, he was still talking about how much he liked it. This is what I did differently from the original recipe: I marinaded the chicken in the teriyaki sauce for about 30 minutes, skipped the browning, placed the chicken in the pan and coated them with the ranch, i added the onions and put it in the oven. While it was in the oven, I fried up 5 slices of real bacon per other suggestions. Since I didn't brown the chicken first, I left it in for about 45 minutes. 10 minutes before it was done I added the bacon and cheese (with a tad bit more than what the recipe called for). It was FANTASTIC! Will definitely be making again.

I did like this recipe, but it wasn't the ground-breaking meal that I was expecting based on reviews. That said, this was a VERY easy recipe and definitely good enough to whip up on a weeknight with ingredients I generally have on hand. I really liked that I didn't have to marinate the meat because I rarely plan that far ahead. I took someone else's suggested to season and dredge the chicken before sauteeing. But with the salty teriyaki sauce, I wish I wouldn't have salted the chicken beforehand. Next time, I think I'll be a little more generous with the ranch and cheese.
