These cookies are delicious. I am making them for the second time now and I can't wait to take them out of the oven. I also used 1/2tsp. of salt and I also substituted a 1/4c. butter for shortening, which I think makes them stay chewy a little longer. yumm!

I was pretty dissapointed because mine turned out too cakey. They were good just not gooey enough for my liking. I believe you should not use so much flour and maybe more white sugar.Good recipe though if you like the cakier cookies!

Usually my cookies come out too thin, so I was pleasantly surprised when these cookies puffed up nicely. They didn't really taste like chocolate chip cookies, though...they were kind of cake-like.

Wow, I have tried 4 of the chocolate chip cookie recipes on this site (all with more/higher ratings than this one) and I personally love this most!! My boyfriend agrees. Not too cakey, not too mushy, not too crispy. Just right for us. We followed the recipe to the letter but used Smart Balance (we can't have milk products).

The first time I used this recipe, I did not have real butter on hand so I used margarine and they came out very dry and didn't keep well overnight. The next time I used real butter and they were much better. A great recipe overall!

Really easy to make. I baked the cookies on convection at 325, as I always overbake cookies. They took a little longer, but came out nice and chewy...just like we like them!

4 1/2 stars actually. I baked at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes so the cookies wouldn't be too dry, the rest was all as the recipe stated. The reason for the 4 1/2 stars is I once made a recipe which called for butter-flavored Crisco instead of butter (Geez, I need to find that recipe back). Now those were absolute perfection by which I now rate all cookies going forward.

These are EXCELLENT and I'm glad they turned out to be just what I was looking for. I'm not a cookie baker but they came out just the way I wanted at 350 for 12 minutes. I live in Vegas and would make special trips to the Toll House shop at the Miracle Mile Shops for their cookies. I think these are just as good. Mine flatten after sitting out of the oven for a few minutes being slightly crispy on the outer edge and very (perfectly) gooey on the inside. I did exchange 1/2 of the a.p. flour for org soy flour trying to get away from some of the gluten. I'm wondering if that is why they flattened a little. But I don't mind. They are perfect! And I added pecans!

This is my new favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. My only change was to bake them at 350 instead of 375. I baked them for about 7-8 minutes and then left them on the cookie sheet for another 10 minutes. This resulted in very soft and gooey cookies- just the way my hubby and I like them! Thank you!

Very Good recipe. I had no experience with cookies baking and followed exactly on the recipe and instruction. The result was really good. My boyfriend brought the cookies to office and offered to the colleagues and everyone thought the cookies were from SUBWAY.
