Dough was very dry and difficult to work with, and cookies were subsequently dry and dense. Didn't use the cinnamon sugar coating, which left the cookies lacking in sweetness and flavor. Used a spicy frosting that helped a lot! This was a nice change from overly-sweet cut out cookies, but next time I'll hope to end up somewhere in between.

These were okay. I feel like they were simple sugar cookies with anise seeds thrown in...next time I will add anise extract.

It was difficult to knead and roll the dough. I made little snowball instead. I also cut the anise seed portion in half. Everyone at work love the taste.
