This recipe is excellent. Its unique because the resulting product is a coleslaw with a wonderful flavor that is similar to coleslaw but more pleasant. the longer it sits in the fridge the better it tastes.

This coleslaw was certainly one of the best I've tasted, and I've already put it into my recipe box. The only problem I found was that there was way too much dressing, the coleslaw was swimming in it. Just half would have been plenty.

WOW - even my kids love this, and it was very easy. Nothing like any coleslaw I have ever had before! I used half green and half red cabbage for visual interest.

This is just the sweet tangey taste of coleslaw I enjoy...I did change the White Vinegar to "Apple Cider Vinegar" for a much more healthier slaw. I also cooled the marinade a bit before adding it to the slaw.

I cannot tell you how many times I have made this recipe, and every time I get rave reviews. I just made it again last weekend and people who don't even like coleslaw asked me for the recipe! Thank you so much, Dot, for making this part of my recipe box! I love this coleslaw. BTW, I also tend to make the coleslaw the night before and then let it sit all night in my refrigerator. I swear, it is SO much better the 2nd day!!!!

Very yummy. I made it along with some ribs, sweet potato fries, and cornbread. It was very tasty. The only additions to the recipe I made were 1 bag of coleslaw from the supermarket and 1 red pepper. There wasn't that much liquid at the bottom. I made it 2 days ahead (I mixed it a couple times to allow the liquid to touch all the cabbage), it turned out perfect.

I liked this and I usually don't like coleslaw - maybe I just didn't like the creamy kind. I agree with others - I used the pre-packaged slaw, no celery, and 1/2 the recipe of the dressing. I also used splenda instead of sugar.

This recipe brings back memories from my childhood. As children, we loved the slaw at VFW fish fries. . I left out the slaw and 1/2 white onion. I like the idea from the other slaw recipe and next time will add the sugar to the dressing while cooking and let it simmer for 25 minutes.

Great change of pace from the creamy coleslaw. I have been making this for awhile now and I often add chopped red pepper and/or chopped cucumber.

Very good cole slaw recipe! I used a little less sugar, and added some celery seed; otherwise prepared as directed. Delicious.

I used this recipe for father's day with a few changes. I did a fine dice of all the veggies and I added cumin and cayenne pepper to the dressing. This turned out great and was a lot like the coleslaw in a very good BBQ restaurant in NC.

This was very tasty and a nice change from the usual mayo based version. I made half a recipe in case it didn't go over well, but it disappeared in 2 days! I will definitely make this one again soon.

This was really good and a nice change from creamy coleslaw. I used 1 bag pre-shredded cabbage, omitted the celery, and halved the 'sauce' ingredients. I didn't care for it after 4 or 5 days, but thought it was best on day 2. Thanks!
