I cooked mine on low in the crock pot for approxmiately 5 hours. It was delicious. The sauce was awesome and the chicken so moist & tender. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Made mothers day 5/13/12: Sprinkled Tony's on chicken....Doubled sauce....Used olive oil instead of butter...added 1t minced garlic....1 can cr chicken 1 can mushroom....added about 1/2c half and half. Used 1/2 a box of penne instead of angel hair. Really good and easy. Served with peas, corn and salad.

My daughter's favorite dish! I make it in the slow cooker and double the sauce. We use leftover sauce on rice for a second meal.

I halved this recipe for my fiance and I, and we loved it. I used more wine than it called for (3/4 c. in total) because I found the sauce to be overly thick. It was very tasty and as others have said, could easily translate to a slow-cooker recipe. I'll definitely make this again because it was quick and easy and had a lovely flavor without being too heavy like some cream sauces.

I am very leary of trying new recipes when having guests, but this dish received such rave reviews that I prepared it for a small luncheon. It received rave reviews from every guest. This is an easy and exceptionally good dish. As suggested by many others, I did make a few changes to the original recipe. I used 4 boneless chicken breast cut into pieces, 1 plus 1/2 packets of Good Season Italian dressing mix, 1 cup plus a bit more low salt chicken broth, 2 cans mushroom soup, 2 tubs cream cheese with chives, and sliced fresh mushroooms. Soften the cream cheese, mix all ingredients, and cook on low in the crock pot for 5 hours. Serve over pasta. This recipe lacks color. I added chopped steamed brocolli just before serving and next time will consider adding thinly sliced red pepper to the crock. I highly recommend this recipe! Several cooks complained about the salty taste of the original recipe. I am happy to have only used 1 1/2 packets of dressing as I think that the recipe would be too salty. I also used low salt chicken broth.

YUM!!! It is too thick. I used the chicken broth method (10 oz of chicken broth instead of wine) and it was still a bit thick (I like mine a little thin, so as it cools while we eat it doesn't get "sticky"). Even with the chicken broth, had to thin with milk even a little more. Still delicious... would work well in a crockpot, or with breaded or grilled chicken. Maybe even add, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms! YUM!

I made this recipe as directed. Flavor wise- the sauce was a 5 star keeper. But.... I did have a few complaints from family and I both- 1- it looks bland- no color;2- not enough sauce;3- needs some veggies; 4- either chicken was behind done and tough or other pieces were not done at all (actually I can't really blame the recipe on this- this was probably user error) Anyway, I made it a second time, doubled the sauce and Placed everything in the crockpot. I added a package of sliced mushrooms. Cooked on low for 5 hours. I steamed broccoli (awesome with the cheese sauce)and added that and after serving it on plates, I cooked up some red pepper slices to through on top. Looked much better. :-)
