This is one of my favorite recipes. I (like most others) have modified it a bit. I use 2 cans Golden COM soup, 1/2 c wine, 1/2 c chicken broth, almost the whole package(8oz) cream cheese, and a can (4oz) of mushrooms. This cuts way down on the saltiness and gives plenty of sauce for the noodles. I also grill the chicken and slice on top of the pasta...no oven required!

I only gave this 4 stars because I haven't tried making it as-is. I substitute chicken broth for the wine and it's delicious! I also cut the chicken into chunks instead of leaving it whole, but that doesn't really affect the flavor. I always make a double batch of this, and we always finish the pan!

Great recipe. After reading some of the reviews I decided to season and saute my chicken breasts in olive oil and minced garlic and then cut into strips. I also added fresh portabello mushrooms, 1/2 white wine and 1/2 chicken broth to the sauce. I used bow tie pasta, added olive oil and garlic to the pasta water, just before the paste was ala denta, I added broccoli.......delish. GREAT RECIPE! My daughter said this recipe was "ON POINT!" Will make again. DOUBLE THE SAUCE, YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY.

This was good but not great. We'll make it again because it was so simple to put together. We added spinach to ours for a splash of color.

Wow, this meal was absolutely delicious. I added a bit of salt to the recipe, but overall, there was nothing I could have done to make it taste any better. The flavor of the white wine, cream cheese, & Italian dressing mix combined with the butter is the best part!

would rate a 3 1/2. Easy enough to make, but was very rich and kind of bland-most likely would not make again

My kids, 3.5 & 5, couldn't get enough! We all loved it. I did make a few changes. Instead of 1/2 c. white wine I used 1/4 c white wine & 1/4 c. chicken broth. I also added a can of diced tomatoes with basil, oregano and garlic. Terrific!

It turned out great with some changes. I was making it just for my 2 parents and here are the ingredients I used: 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast 1/4 cup butter 20 g package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix just under 1/2 cup ginger ale + a bit of water 1 can cream of mushroom soup 4 ounces fat free herb & garlic cream cheese 1/2 pound penne pasta They loved it and it was easy. I cut the chicken in strips before putting it in a baking dish, added broccoli and chopped red peppers to the sauce while in the pot, then poured it all over, covered with tin foil and baked for 55 minutes. Oh and before putting the chicken in the baking dish, I sprinked down garlic & italian seasoning. Put some pepper on the breasts too. Thanks for a fab recipe!!

This is super creamy and had good flavor. I didn't realize that the golden mushroom soup had tomato (and my husband is allergic) so I can't make it for us anymore but he did truly enjoy it when I made it last year. Served over less pasta but left everything else the same.

I was really looking foward to this recipe since it got soo many good reviews. It just didn't do much for us. It seemed like too much pasta and not enough sauce, and not enough spices. I might try again with less pasta, and no condensed soup..but who knows!

Oh my goodness, yum! Follow the directions exactly, though. I added a little chicken broth (based on reviews) because the sauce seemed too thick before baking, but it got thinner during the baking process. Will make many times again, but will probably double the sauce (because I love sauce!). Will also try it in the crock pot per other reviews. Thank you!

I cut the chicken into pieces and saute it in butter. Then I add the rest of the sauce ingredients into the pan and cook. This way, it is a much faster recipe. It takes about 20 minutes beginning to end.

This recipe is foolproof. I've made it several times, each time missing one ingredient or another, and it's always great anyway! Last night I made it basically as written, but didn't have a packet of dry dressing mix. I just added in a variety of dry ingredients, some wine, 8 oz of lite cream cheese and 2 cans of soup. TASTED GREAT ANYWAY!

A simple and easy dish. We all liked it. Don't let it cook down too far, though, or the sauce will be too thick and salty.
