Awesome recipe. I double the sour cream. We have tried this with light and fat free cream cheese. Light works better it makes the sauce less spicy. I am sure that regular cream cheese would also work great! My husband and I put this sauce over chicken, we have put it on tacos, and even use it for dip with tortilla chips. I brought some over as dip to a friend's BBQ and everyone loved it!! This is a great way to use our cilantro from our garden!

Considering the ingredients, I thought this would be better. I'd much rather have guacamole and that's much easier to make.

This is excellent! I halved the recipe & it was more than enough to serve w/"Southwestern Egg Rolls" from here. I used dried cilantro, to taste. UPDATE 10/12/09: I was out of tomatillo sauce & lime juice but HAD to make this so I used regular mild salsa & lemon juice-still FANTASTIC, bowl-licking good!! Thank you Amy!!

It was really tasty, except my husband and I both felt the cilantro flavor was way too strong. Next time I will use half a bunch.

Loved it! I used "Salsa De Tomatillo" to make this recipe. Before adding the cilantro, I tasted the dip. It was really good. After adding the cilantro, the dip was ok but not as good as without the cilantro. 4 stars with cilantro. 5 stars without the cilantro.

This is the best use for mega producing summer cilantro plants. I love it, love it, love it. Only suggestion is to add half the tomatillo salsa to see if the thickness works, then add more if you want it less thick.

Made this for the first time for a St. Paddys day party. I had been searching for something green. EVERYONE at the party wanted the recipe. Made it again for 4th of July and once again everyone in the room was coming up to and asking for the recipe! Big hit, thank you for this yummy recipe.

SOOO delicious with the Southwestern Egg Rolls and Fajitas! I never knew what a bunch of cilantro could do! i followed the recipe as is with the exception of the celery salt - didn't have any on hand so I used 3/4 tsp celery seed (dried) and 1/4 tsp salt. Worked well with light cream cheese and i used mild La Victoria salsa verde (aka tomatillo salsa). As one reviewer mentioned before, the spiciness of the salsa verde you choose to use will determine how spicy the cilantro cream sauce will be! Thanks so much for the recipe!

I was expecting big things from this recipe, and I think it's just alright. I love cilantro, I just feel like it's missing something. Maybe it's because I used fat free cream cheese. We're eating it over falafel's tonight!

Delicious and easy to make - whir it up in the food processor for a quick sauce/dip with no lumps. I didn't have sour cream so skipped it without problems. Used 3 cloves fresh garlic in place of garlic powder and skipped the celery salt. Added a little extra fresh lime juice. Fantastic with Southwestern eggrolls and I'm looking forward to utilizing it in other ways as well.

This sauce is absolutely fabulous! I added 1/4 tsp. jalapeno powder for a little extra zip. It's best on bagel or pita chips! But it's also great on red chile tortilla chips; not to mention fresh vegies. I brought it to a Mother's Day party and everyone raved about it. Thanks so much.

Absolutely perfect as is, or add some chopped jalapeno or serrano for more chili flavor. SO GOOD

This was fantastic. I used whipping cream and a tad of cream cheese. Fantastic. I could have used it as a dip but used it over sliced grilled chicken. The kids said "yeck" when they saw it but "oh my gosh" when they tasted it. Needless to say there were no leftovers and my oldest made a burrito. Will use again and again.

This sauce is amazing! I coated chicken with seasoned flour and cooked it in a pan and dipped it in the sauce and it was DELICIOUS! Can't wait to try the left overs with salmon for dinner!

This was absolutely delicious. I tried it topped on simply seasoned chicken breasts and brown rice. It will be a staple during the summer months when I have tons of cilantro from the garden.

When i made this....on Day 1 i used this as a sauce on my carne asada. The flavors are awesome! (It had the consistency of a thick dressing.) On Day 2 after being in the fridge all night...it was a wonderful chip dip. I loved it both ways.
