This bread is easy and delicious! I reduced the sugar to 2 Tbsp based on something another reviewer did. That way it wasn't very sweet which was perfect!

Very good bread! I made my own modifications to make it much better for you. But still incredibly good! I use honey in place of the sugar, coconut oil in place of the vegetable oil and white winter wheat flour (looks like white flour but it is wheat. Same nutritional value as wheat...so good. Try it!)

Delicious! This is by far the best bread recipe I have found. I like to add a few eggs and 1/3 cup less sugar for non sweet variations, and that seems to make it even better and more flavorful and moist. I like it best in loaf form, I tried making rolls and it was not quite as tasty, I don't know why. Add spices and herbs like garlic powder, oregano and basil and then some parmesan cheese, or throw in some dried fruit or blueberries and nuts! Yum!

This is my 'go-to' white bread recipe. I have made it several times and it comes out great each time. This last time I made them into dinner rolls and also clover-shaped rolls (put 3 dough balls in a muffin tin so when the raise they resemble a clover leaf, really fancy looking!). I use my standing mixer with dough hook and it makes kneading effortless. When I made the rolls I let the dough rise much longer for the last rising and they came out so light that my co-workers were amazed at my culinary skills. Little did they know how easy this recipe is to follow.

I can't stress enough how delicious this bread is. I love to make this bread whenever I can, and no breadmaker here. I don't mind having to knead it, and maybe someday when I get a breadmaker I'll give it a shot. Until then, I'm perfectly fine with working for such a delicious outcome. My boyfriend even loves this bread, though I often have to make two batches... one with reduced sugar, as others have commented for myself, and one with the full amount of sugar for him. A few tips I can give to anyone who is trying this bread recipe for the first time, make sure to always check and see if the dough is warm enough... Keep the cloth warm and damp, and go with your gut. I've had to add bits of water here and there when I got a really dry dough. Also, make sure you let the yeast proof! As another review said, wait ten minutes or so, and the foam should be higher than the water level. Happy baking, everyone!
