I can't stress enough how delicious this bread is. I love to make this bread whenever I can, and no breadmaker here. I don't mind having to knead it, and maybe someday when I get a breadmaker I'll give it a shot. Until then, I'm perfectly fine with working for such a delicious outcome. My boyfriend even loves this bread, though I often have to make two batches... one with reduced sugar, as others have commented for myself, and one with the full amount of sugar for him.
A few tips I can give to anyone who is trying this bread recipe for the first time, make sure to always check and see if the dough is warm enough... Keep the cloth warm and damp, and go with your gut. I've had to add bits of water here and there when I got a really dry dough. Also, make sure you let the yeast proof! As another review said, wait ten minutes or so, and the foam should be higher than the water level. Happy baking, everyone!
