Not only is this the best bread I have ever made but one of the best I have ever eaten.I made one cinnamon raisin and one plain and both received rave reviews from my family.Thank you for this wonderful recipe, a definate keeper.

great! I used olive oil and it really added a nice flavor, The bread does have a sweetness to it, which is good (it's not too sweet), but I'd also like tot ry it with a bit more salt and a bit less sugar

I have found my bread recipe!!! I live in a small town in Africa and it is impossible to find sliced white bread here. I am so excited to find this recipe and the loaves turned out absolutely beautiful! It slices nicely and you can get thicker slices than store-bought.

YUM. This is my go-to recipe when I want a quick easy bread to go with soup. It's delicious as written, but also yummy with 1/2 to 2/3 whole wheat flour instead!

I followed this recipe exactly except I used all purpose flour and it turned out very lite and fluffy. Don't use a bread machine and try to "feel" when it turns from sticky to smooth. it only took me about 4 and a half to 5 cups of flour to get there plus the flour on my hands and surface to keep stickiness down. I proofed the first rise in the oven with damp kitchen towel and oiled bowl. I turned the oven on until it felt warm inside and turned it off. (My house stays at 74 F)I also hand shape my loaves baked together on 13 x 9 deep-sided baking pan. Best bread recipe I've tried on here so far.

Super easy and comes out great every single time! I like to add some whole wheat flour and quick oats to give it a bit more flavor and nutrition, but other than that it's perfect!

I've been on a mission to find the easiest, quickest bread recipe as we have stopped buying bread at the store. This one is the best I've found so far! I don't however, put as much sugar (i've used Splenda too and it works great) for "everyday" bread. Thanks for sharing!

This was my first time baking bread, and it turned out amazing. I don't have a mixer, so mixing the dough by hand took a while. My husband and son loved it. I just made it yesterday, and one loaf is already gone. I'll definitely use this recipe again.

Simply divine! With a KitchenAid, this bread is dead simple...but even without one, it's easy and makes a delicious loaf of bread. I've adapted it to make wheat bread by switching out 2 cups of white flour for 2 cups of wheat, but it needs to rise for about twice as long.

I made this bread super quickly on a Saturday morning while doing household chores and sewing. It came together SO easily, I was impressed. The taste was amazing. I had substituted AP flour for the bread flour and it was a little cake-like in texture, it also didn't rise as high as I would have liked, but an easily adaptable recipe.
