This cookie is a very soft sugar cookie that is made with a batter rather than a dough, but is really good.

Big Soft Sugar Cookie Cakes

The title says it all. Everyone who has ever tasted these has asked for the recipe. Don't be alarmed at the amount of flour, it is correct. The dough is pretty thick.

I don't know where this recipe originated, but it was a favorite of my Mom's when I was growing up. Her notes on the recipe says, "County Fair Winner". The dough is batter-like in consistency and cookies are very soft and cake-like.

Grandma Tibbitts Sugar Cookies

This recipe was handed down from my great grandmother. It took a few years to figure out the exact measures. These cookies are very soft and if you want to use a cutter, the dough should be refrigerated a couple hours. I use a three inch biscuit cutter. You can also drop these if you are short on time. Sprinkle tops with colored sugar or whatever decorative confection you like. These are good plain also.

Drop Sugar Cookies II

This is our school's recipe for soft sugar cookies...you may leave as is or add sprinkles or frost them. Buttermilk can be substituted for the sour milk. You will need at least a 20 quart mixer or a very large bowl to make the full recipe.

Starr's Soft Sugar Cookies

Old and young alike love these big, moist cookies, they are good "keepers". They stay soft for days if properly stored in an air-tight container. I think the buttermilk is the key ingredient.
