My family loves this recipe. I have used all kinds of crackers in it and have different results with each variety used. Recommend it highly! Love Amish food recipes.

This is good but is different than what I thought of in a meatloaf. It is more moist than I like and has just a different flavor. It is good and we have made this many times but I still want a good home cooked meatloaf. What can I say- I'm a midwest girl.

I haven't had much success with meatloaf for the past couple of years so I decided to give this recipe a try. I thought it was quite good but a bit on the sweet side. My boys didn't care for it at all. I will repeat this recipe but I believe I will half the amount of brown sugar.

This recipe has gotten such good reviews but we did not care for it. Both the meatloaf and the sauce were much too sweet. We needed to bake it for 90 minutes. The bacon on top seemed like a good idea but seemed out of place and never really got crispy. We won't be having this again.

I've been making this meatloaf for years and my family loves it! It's worth a try, if you're tired of boring old meatloaf. I changed absolutely nothing about this recipe.

hmmm...mushy and not much flavour. I'll keep looking for a "firmer" loaf and more spices

This meatloaf was great. Different than any meatloaf I ever made. I have never used sugar, but gave it a try and everyone loved it. Served it to my inlaws and it was a hit!

This meatloaf was one of the best I have ever had. If you like the old fashioned gravy or ketchup meatloaf, then you probably will not like this. This is a cross between barbecue and sweet and sour. I have tried dozens of recipes and my family thinks they are just OK. I don't even eat my own meatloaf and I couldn't stay away from this one, my husband was eating it late into the night! I used breadcrumbs instead of the butter crackers and cut the recipe in half for 1 lb of 93% ground beef and used the two eggs. I grated the onion because I do not like chunks of onion. I added extra bacon to the top and it tasted great along with the meat. I also did not use a loaf pan but shaped into a loaf and placed in baking dish for a nice crunchy crust all around. I will be making this recipe over and over again. Thanks!

I love this recipe and have been making it for years. There were alot of kids on our street and everytime i make this dish every kid in our neighborhood is at my door asking over and over is it done yet... Once done there is never anything left of it..... only thing i would change would be the type and amount of crackers. I use regular saltine crackers and about 2 1/2 cups... but all in all a great and wonderful recipe. My son although grown and left home still ask me to make this. I have also passed the recipe on to my daughters as well

this was totally awesome, the only change I made was having a mixture of ground pork and ground beef. Wow, the best meatloaf ever.

This was quite good, although I really felt it was a bit too sweet. Especially cold in a sandwich. I will make again but will reduce or maybe leave out the brown sugar.
