Too sweet for my taste. My guests didn't seem very thrilled about it either. I won't be making this again. But I've always preferred salty over sweet, so perhaps it's an acquired taste.

Nice summer salad, but way too sweet if full sugar amount is used. I used green onion for the white, omitted the pickle relish, omitted celery seed, only used 1 tbsp of sugar and it was sweet enough as Miracle Whip is sweet as well, I used 2 tbsps of vinegar as that is what I thought it said, it was good. I didn't use the full amount of Miracle Whip either as I ran out and it was fine.

I love this macaroni salad! It's simple to make but has a dressing which is different from the norm. The Miracle Whip and mustard combination really work and the addition of red peppers adds a splash of color. Don't use regular mayo, it won't have the same flavor.

Quick change...use 1 1/2 C Miracle whip instead of 2, and 1/4 C sugar instead of 3/4 C, and you will have a PERFECT Macaroni Salad!

Everyone loved this macaroni salad! I only used 1/3 cup of sugar and it was delicious! I used vegan mayo, cut out the egg, and didn't use any celery seed. Excellent recipe!

This stuff is amazing and I always get lots of raves when I take it somewhere!! I have been making it since last summer & have made my own changes to the original recipe. First, I cut back on the sugar to just shy a 1/2 cup. I also cook an entire box (full pound) of pasta because 2 cups is nothing and I think the ratio is better. This brings me to my next change. I use a twisty pasta like Gemelli rather than traditional elbow macaroni - the twists help absorb up some of the extra dressing (of which there is PLENTY). Finally, I despise celery seed so I leave that out (there is already celery in it so I don't think it's necessary).
