Fantastic recipe!!! I know this sounds weird but I put almost pure hot water in first then the sugar, salt, oil and then I take my flour out of the freezer and put 3 cups in. Then the yeast. (1 1/2 tsp) I do that because I don't have the time to check the temp of water do to working 3 jobs. The dough is a little sticky but my bread machine does just fine with this recipe. I set it for a light crust and let it go. When the machine is done, I cut the top off for a fresh slice then put it on the cut end to let the bottom dry out a little, bag it and slice it for sandwiches.
I have tried many bread recipes and I like this one best. I have made Garlic Bread by adding garlic infused oil instead of canola oil. Great for toasted meatball, chicken salad or anything else that goes good with garlic bread.
By the way, I am a man that loves good bread. I also love this website.
