This is definitely our favorite. I make a few of them at once and freeze them with cooking directions on the tin foil. Then I always have something on hand for some one in need, or a new neighbor or if I'm running late. Delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

My husband made this for a potluck 2 years ago, and people still beg him to bring it again. People who didnt even work for the company at the time ask him for the recipe!

This is a fantastic recipe! My husband even said that it was BETTER than his mom's (which is a huge compliment, she's a great cook). I do add a little more cheese than it calls for though.

Bloody brilliant. I followed the other reviewers' comments, and this was the most brilliantly grand lasagna I have had.

I found this recipe here years ago and have been making it when ever the Hubby wants it. I cut recipe in half just because it's only the 2 of us. We love it and I don't change a think.

THE best lasagna I've ever tasted! And, it fits in a regular 9x13 pan, so you don't have to buy a new pan or plan for your meal flowing over the sides and ending up burnt at the bottom of your oven. Everyone I've given this recipe to thinks it's the best they've ever had. I do only make two layers, rather than three, because it's a lot easier to divide up evenly and get into the pan. I've even made this is a giant crock pot (without first cooking the noodles) and it worked beautifully there, too. Try this recipe! You can't go wrong!

My friend brought me this after I had a baby and my family had to have the recipe. This is very good and I can be picky with lasagna. I like a lot of sauce and cheese and this recipe has it. I used 2 lbs of hamburger so I used about a cup of jarred sauce to make up for it. I also used the no-boil lasagna noodles because I hate to boil the regular kind. It is a little time consuming to make but well worth it. Next time I might use sausage instead to give it a different twist.

I don't actually want to rate the recipe as posted because I didn't stick exactly to it; i followed the other reviewers' suggestions and I think there should be an additional rating for "how it turned out". And I did have high expectations. Yes, I know; "it isn't fair to dock points if you change something" but I felt like I had to comment and say what my experience was. I cut back on the noodles and cheese, added more tomatoes for sauce, and baked the lasagne for 1.5 hours. This was WAY too long. The whole lasagne was dry and gummy. I also felt like it was really bland, like leftover potluck lasagne ot something. This needs some sort of kick, but I don't know if I'll use it again; might try for something lighter. My boyfriend really enjoyed it, though - thank you for the recipe! :)

This is the best lasagna ever! I have made this recipe for a little over 5 years and it is always a winner! Last night I made the "World's Best Lasagna" from this site and the whole family was disappointed. Everyone agreed that this will be the only recipe I make for lasagna. I do cheat by using 1 jar of Ragu (traditional), 1 can of tomato paiste and a small can of tomato sauce along with the basil, oregano and b. sugar that the recipe calls for. I also double the ricotta and the mozzarella. Yum---it's the best.

loved it!! I used no pre cooking lasagne sheets, bought creamed cottage cheese by accident and left out the garlic (I am nursing a baby who can't tolerate garlic - it is tragic!)thanx

very good basic recipe! I followed the advice of another reviewer and also added cream cheese, about 3 ounces. I do think this added a nice touch, but I think it would've been just as good without. It definitely added some calories and fat, but this recipe may be modified to become at least lower-calorie if not low calorie.

I have never made lasagna before and my first attempt with this recipe turned out great! I have 3 roomates who devoured it all by lunch the next day. The sauce was thick and delicious.. I really hate runny lasagna. I think next time Im going to double the sauce (as I didnt have enough for the top) & play around with the ricotta mixture.
