INGREDIENTS
3 eggs
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
2/3 cup flaked coconut
1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell

DIRECTIONS
In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, corn syrup, sugars, orange juice, butter, orange peel and salt until well blended. Stir in pecans and coconut. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. If edges become too brown, cover with foil. Cool on a wire rack.

I made this pie for Thanksgiving and got wonderful compliments! Everyone that ate it, loved it! I plan to make four for Christmas. It is very easy to make and does have just a little extra "umph" than traditional pecan pie.

WONDERFUL! I threw in some chopped pecans and it came out great, made it on thanksgiving everyone loved it!
