Made per instuctions. Once I tasted then I tripled the sauce as everyone had suggested. I also added sliced water chestnuts. Served with rice and crunchy noodles and fresh aspargus. Would make again.

We liked this (by "we" I mean my husband and I), but I did have to double the sauce ingredients. I would highly recommend sticking with the Chinese five spice powder. I did not think that I was going to like it, but I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor. Also, I decided to fry the chicken pieces in 3 tbsp. of canola oil and 2 tbsp. of sesame oil. This really brought out the sesame flavor.

This dish was great! Although I pulled the lazy route and did not fry the chicken or use any flour. Instead I sauteed the chicken with onion and bell pepper. I did triple the sauce and I added the sauce when the chicken was fully cooked (sesame seeds were in the sauce). I then lowered the heat and cooked on medium low for about 20 minutes, letting the chicken absorb the sauce. I served it over white rice. It was wonderful! Even my picky kids loved it. Defo will cook again!

Excellent Recipe! I followed it almost the same. Added more teriyaki sauce and some snow peas. Other than that, I left the recipe as is. WONDERFUL!!

This was my first recipe I tried off the website. Overall it was pretty good, just too many sesame seeds! Wish I would've read previous reviews.

This recipe was so good! It was a big hit with my family..They all loved it so much. I was a bit worried at first but it came out so good and I did triple the sauce recipe. It was necessary otherwise it would not have been enough!!

My family loved this! I used six smaller chicken breasts and quadrupled the sauce. My 16 yr old ate tons of it saying it was better than takeout! Yay! Served with brown rice.

This had a great flavor! I doubled the teriyaki sauce and honey but I think I will triple it next time. The chicken soaked up all the sauce very quickly. I didn't put onions or the green bell pepper just because we don't like them. It turned out great and made great leftovers.

It was chicken with a sweet sauce. Not anything special. I would suggest red pepper flakes for some kick. I did not bread the chicken either. Probably won't make again. BUT it wasn't gross, just average.

I was really hoping to impress with this dish on New Years eve. It was truly a big disappointment, lacked flavour and was a lot more trouble than it was worth. So many good reviews made me think I did something wrong, but no, everything went as it stated. Wont be having this dish again. :(

Oh, this was incredible! I did change a few things because it was a bit salty (from the teriyaki sauce) and not as sweet as I would have liked. I added a tablespoon of brown sugar to the sauce, and I cheated and added a little barbeque sauce to give it a more tangy taste--I know, not very authentic, but it came out perfect. Added a few dashes of cayenne to give it some background heat, but not spicy. As everyone suggested, I tripled the teriyaki sauce and doubled the honey. I mixed them together before putting them in with the chicken. I served with some fried rice, with carrots, onions and peas in it. Excellent! Was WAY better the next day because the sauce got more sticky and really infused the chicken. My boyfriend told me this needed to be in our list of staple recipes... one to make more often than others. Also, this is a very simple and inexpensive recipe to make because once you have the spices and sauces, you really don't need to go out of your way to get anything to make this another time.

Tripled the sauce ingredients: Thick and not too/overbearingly sweet. Used 3 'big' chicken breasts to feed two but had enough for four. Used sesame seed oil, otherwise followed original recipe (no pepper flakes). To me it was a 'heavy' dish for a 'stir-fry.' Tasty, quick & simple to make.

I had to substitute ginger powder for the Chinese five spice. The final result tasted good, but nothing like the sesame chicken I've had before and my brother agrees. I mixed the sauce all together before pouring it over the chicken, but I could still taste a distinct teriyaki flavor and honey flavor. It didn't blend well and didn't taste like real sesame chicken sauce.
