I used 1/2 the flour as others suggested but I thought the chicken was flavorless, which is why I'm giving this three stars. This was the first time I used five spice and not quite sure if I care for it. The sause on the other hand was very good, and you definetly need to make more to coat the chicken. I will probably make this again but with a few changes. Thanks for the recipe, Amber.

Oh man, this was delicious. I have never come as close to replicating my favorite Chinese dish as I did with this. I followed the directions pretty faithfully, but omitted the onions, and it turned out wonderfully. It is a pretty quick dish for one that is so good.

This was very tasty...a bit laboring to make, but the family enjoyed it as something different. Thank you!

I think this recipe is great. My husband and 5 year old love it too. I use red pepper instead of green and throw in some sliced carrots for extra veggies. I also triple the sauce.

This is pretty good stuff. I have made this in several variations when I don't have one of the ingredients and it still turns out great. I have served this on a bed of mexican rice with mexican cheese melted on top. YUMMY!!! My kids don't even ask to go out and eat anymore.

Sooooooo good! Everyone was handing out the compliments! I used chicken tenderloins and as others suggested increased the sauce! Went great w/a fried rice dish. Loved it!

Yum yum yum! I used half the chicken, so I cut the flour in half but kept the spices at the same level. I used ginger instead of five-spice powder and added 1/4 tsp Accent. I used 1/2 c Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce, 1/4 c honey, and a Tbsp sugar. Soooo good. It was a little salty though, so next time I'll try to find a reduced sodium teriyaki sauce and use half reduced sodium, half Veri Veri. It was very good, and I will definitely make again!

I hate Five Spice, so I didn't use it. The sauce doesn't make enough, so add more to it. About 3 times as much sauce.

This recipe is fab - really tasty and plates beautifully. It is a huge hit whenever I make for company. Recommend doubling the sauce and adding extra 5 spice powder.

Awesome recipe! The only thing that I changed was I actually doubled the amount of teriyaki/honey mixture to add to the chicken at the end. This gave it that really robust chinese restaurant flavor that me and my husband were craving.

Before you try this recipe, smell the Chinese Five Spice. It has a prominent effect on the flavor of this dish. Neither my husband nor I liked this, unfortunately. We both love the sweet Sesame Chicken that you get in Chinese restaurants. This was not in the same league. Sorry.

This was just OK. I used the suggested 1 cup of flour but I doubled the spices that were mixed in. It still could have used more spice - in my opinion. I could have lived with the amount of spices but what I didn't like about it was that it was toooo sweet. I omited the honey and added nothing sweet, but it was still too sweet. Maybe a different teriyaki sauce would be better?? I doubt I will make this again.
