This was my first attempt at making eggnog. It was easy and it really does taste amazingly good! A new holiday tradition!

My husband has requested this every Christmas and New Year's Day. Big hit at each party.

My son loves eggnog (or 'eggnock' as he says it!) and I love eggnog lattes so this is our go-to recipe since we can't buy eggnog off-season. I have made this recipe at least 3 times (sans rum, obviously!). Not the healthiest drink around... but definitely a good one if you like eggnog and can pace yourself.

You will never buy store bought again!!!! It is somewhat labor intensive, but well worth the effort. My co-workers start hounding me in October with their requests. I make it by the gallon during the holidays. Don't try multi-tasking while making this eggnog. The eggs can overcook in an instant (Trust me!)You will be starting over from scratch.

I made this eggnog for a Christmas party a few years ago, and it was amazing! Ever since, I've always had request to bring a batch. The only change I would make is the amount of rum used... I'd recommend making it a virgin drink, and spiking individual drinks to taste.

I made this for Christmas and it was fantastic! The only thing I would do differently is make it the night before - it really is best when chilled overnight. It's now a Christmas recipe keeper!

Incredible!!!! I am never making any other eggnog again! I have been making homemade eggnog for years, as I have been living in europe for the last 10 years, and this has got to be the best recipe I have every tried. Thank you for sharing!!!

Very nice and thick eggnog. Not something to drink everyday, but a nice splurge! I had a bit of trouble with it curdling on me (my fault - I let it get too hot), but a quick spin in the blender fixed it right up. Thanks!

I didn't "cook" the eggs because I only use organic free-range eggs from a family I know. (You have a 1 in 30,000 change of getting sick from eating regular raw eggs... the changes are even smaller using organic free range). Very good.

Sooooo good! I made it exactly like you said and had no problems with curdling. It went down a treat on christmas eve - even in sunny Australia!!

OH MY GOD... absolute perfection! I used half-and-half because I couldn't find light cream in any store. I don't know how it was *supposed* to taste, but I can't imagine it tasting any better than this! I also followed a friend's advice and prepared it the night before, which gave the ingredients a chance to set. She was absolutely right! The next day, the eggnog tasted a lot richer and creamier than the night I prepared it. I served it at my holiday party and the guests were ecstatic about it! Not only that, but the leftovers stayed in my refrigerator for a good two weeks after the party (the recipe made two pitchers-full!) and it was still just as delicious as the day of the party. This recipe is DEFINITELY staying with me.

I've made this recipe quite a few times and I've tampered with it...but seriously there's no need! I LOVE it just as is. Awesomely amazingly good eggnog!

Creamy!!! We loved it. I make Eggnog every year, even though its not a traditional Xmas drink here in Australia. This was the best one I've tried so far and I'll be sticking with this recipe from now on. Thanks for sharing it.
