I loved this salad!! I'm Messianic, so I used Turkey Bacon, instead of pork. I also used purple grapes, instead of raisins. This salad was sooo yummy!! I will make is again and again! Thank you for sharing!

I was surprised at how much my guests enjoyed this salad. One gentleman said, "I never thought I would love broccoli with grapes, but just leave me alone while I finish this up!" I submerged the broccoli in boiling water, let the water come back to a rolling boil, and then removed the broccoli --- that left the veggies with just the right texture. I think you should halve the salad dressing recipe because it made way too much. My salad turned out soupy when I poured most of the dressing on it, so I let it sit in the fridge for a few hours before taking it out, transferring it to a colander/sieve, and letting most of the dressing drain out. The salad looked and tasted much better with most of the dressing removed. I added the bacon bits (I used Bac-O's since we don't eat pork) and sunflower seeds in the end, eyeballing how much I wanted to add (since I think the recipe called for way too many sunflower seeds!). Enjoy; this recipe is a keeper.

This is truly delicious. I've also made it without the bacon as a vegetarian dish and it's still fantastic.

This is a super easy recipe and it tastes great. I used Red Wine Vinegar, seedless red grapes, no sunflower seeds, and Splenda.

This is SUPER good! And I don't usually like raw broccoli too much. I think it's best if you leave it overnight, but I've made it day of, a few hours early as written, and it's always good. I always use reduced fat mayo cause otherwise it negates the healthy-ness of the broccoli. This is a staple of my bbqs in the summer. Also, super easy to bring to gatherings, just put bacon and SF seeds in a small container or ziploc and toss in just before serving. LOVE this salad! THANKS ALYSON!!!

The smell of this salad was not delightful. For that alone it should be docked a star. This salad was pretty good, though it had a lot of dressing (probably to disguise the broccoli). I ended up using a ham substitute type bacon and candied walnuts (to make up for the crunch missing from the non-real-bacon substitute). It turned out pretty well, but the smell doesn't really make it very appetizing.

I could eat a bucket of this all by myself. It's great for a pot-luck or for company. Or just for lunch all by itself!

Yummmmm. Sort of unhealthy with all the bacon and mayo, but you get your broccoli! This is one of the greatest things to bring to a potluck or BBQ.

The basic recipe is very flavorful, and lends itself well to experimentation with other ingredients. Craisins are an especially good addition.

I've made this a few times for summer parties. The sweet/salty combo is irresistable. The bacon and sunflower seeds need to be added pretty close to serving time or the bacon will get soggy and the seeds lose their crunch. I used light mayo and sour cream.

The combo of flavors in this recipe is just perfect! The only minor change I would suggest would be to use golden raisins (instead of red). They are a little sweeter and compliment this recipe very well.

My family loves this salad. We make it for special occasions and it's gobbled up. I like using the red onion so that it is visible and easy to pick out. I like the flavor it gives the salad but onion hurts my tummy. Definately use real bacon; it's what makes the salad. I sometimes substitute craisins for the raisins (I prefer the craisins...depends on what I have in the house). I'm planning to make this again for our Christmas dinner this year.

This is so good!!! I never had this, no one ever told me about it..where have I been? I'm so glad I decided to make this. My husband raved about this salad more than I did! The only thing I left out were the sunflower seeds. Other than that this salad gets five stars! I made this salad 3 times already since Thanksgiving, and only three because I didn't want to wear it out before Christmas! lol Thank you!!
