I love salad and this hit the spot. I followed directions exactly except I had no strawberries. It was delicious. I served it with pork tenderloin. Will definitely make again.

I did it with cocoa covered almond, crushed in food processor and it came out AMAZING. Like dessert for dinner, but was a salad.

Very good recipe! Nice for a change from a normal salad. I used mixed greens with spinach, eliminated the sugar, used candies walnuts instead of almonds and added a little bit of olive oil. Definitely mix this up right before serving, because it will get soggy after a while. Very refreshing!!

Refreshing and well received by our guests. Used separate recipe on this site for roasting honey flavored almonds.

Amazing salad! I was looking for something new and this is definitely it. I couldn't find honey-roasted almonds like most others, but found Candied Walnuts by Diamond (must be new)...I figured I could use the walnuts if I substituted thinly sliced apples for the strawberries as well. The only thing I would add for either is a very thinly sliced piece of onion...not much, just for a bite.

I thought this was 5 stars just as written. But I have had it many times since, and I love to change it up a bit by adding one or more of the following: baby spring lettuce mix, colby cheese, croutons, chicken pieces. I haven't made the recipe salad dressing yet, but I used the Kraft Poppyseed dressing, and I have a new love!!!!! The combo of flavors is dynamite. Thanks for this simple but awesome recipe. Tip: Mixing beforehand can make the spinach soggy from strawberry juice, which is a problem with keeping leftovers. Also, the almonds fall to the bottom, making it hard to get a balanced helping. When serving lots of people out of a huge bowl, I place the strawberries (sliced) and the almonds in separate bowls for people to add as they wish.
