I make this salad but have never added avacado. Next time I may and see the difference. I'll bet it tastes great!

Yummy, I left out the celery as I'm not a fan, and it turned out to be a great salad, the almonds make the dish

Excellent salad recipe. The sugared almonds really made the salad.

Easy recipe and very good! The only problem i had was making the candied almonds...I had to use butter to break up this almonds from sticking together

Fantastic and simple - I had an avocado and romaine lettuce in my fridge that I wanted to use and this fit the bill perfectly. I did not have almonds but I had pecans, just toasted them on the stovetop while I was preparing everything else and it turned out beautifully. My salad consisted of romaine, a can of mandarin oranges, avocado, toasted pecans and the dressing with a few tsp dry parsley. I wanted to skip the rest of my meal and just eat the salad! Note: Mushrooms are a great alternative to avocado.

Had this recipe for years but I use white wine vinegar. Think the carmalized almond make the salad

This was a great salad for a hot summer day. I followed the recipe exactly except didn't sugar coat the almonds, used red leaf lettuce and no celery, because I didn't have any. I will make this again. A good change from typical tossed salad.
