I loved this recipe, I made three batches one with chocolate cake, and white chips, yellow cake with chocolate chips, and spice cake with walnuts. I drizzled all with white chocolate. Everyone was totally impressed, but only I knew how easy they were to make! My favorite was the spice cake!

I followed directions and found that the product was too dry at the first baking. When I made it a second time, I lowered the temperature and removed it from the oven after 20 minutes (when it was firm). With this adjustment, the second time turned out very well.

Yummy, I too was a little worried about this one working out. I did make some changes, toasted pecan's replaced the almonds, I used more like a cup of chocolate chips and did not bother with the drizzled chocolate. I noticed some suggestions for changing the cake mix to a different flavour. I would like to try a Lemon cake mix with poppyseeds and maybe lemon zest and cranberries. I will replace the choco syrup with yogurt or honey and lemon juice.

My husband and I love Biscotti and have been buying them at our local bakery for $10 per pound. Now that I'm retired I thought why not save some money and make them myself. When I searched for Biscotti and this recipe came up I thought it looked too easy to be any good but I'd try it. I followed the recipe exactly except I mixed in the nuts and bits by hand. That little bit of kneading helped to smooth out the batter. The final consistency reminded me of play dough. The cookies were fantastic, every bit as good as the ones from the bakery. My husband likes them better. I’ve been thinking of variations since the basic recipe of cake mix, flour, butter and eggs could be used with any flavor cake mix and combination of flavorings, nuts and dried fruits. The important thing is to make sure that the dough is very dense and that the cookies are completely cooled before you store them. Some variations: German chocolate cake with walnuts and coconut Yellow cake with dried cranberries and pecans Red velvet cake with white chocolate bits German chocolate cake with chopped English toffee

This was ok, the taste was great, but it was dry and crumbly. Might make again, but not often.

Having baked biscotti from scratch for many years, this recipe great interested me. I am SO GLAD I tried this recipe. It is wonderful and when I think of all those hours spent measuring out ingredients.....well......all I can say is THANK YOU for this time saver. I bake biscotti for our church's coffee nights and I know everyone will enjoy these wonderful treats. Last night I made the chocolate, orange/cranberry and lemon poppyseed all with white chocolate drizzled over them. I am now the Queen of Biscotti!!!!

This was my first attempt at biscotti and I was thrilled with the results! Everyone that I shared them with was very impressed. The second batch I used a butter pecan cake mix, left out the almonds, and used caramel syrup in place of the chocolate syrup. Now I can't decide which flavor I like more!

Delicious! My husband brought some to work to hand out at coffee break to some of the other construction worker he works with. He said they were amazed and said they were delicious. Everyday since they have been asking him to get me to make more. We joke around saying we should charge them per batch because they would eat it in one sitting! lol Sooo yummy!!!!!
