This is a delectable new slant on a no-bake rice-cereal cookie. A friend of mine gave this recipe to me and her mother-in-law gave to her. It melts in your mouth! Use walnuts in place of the pecans for another variation.

Chock-full of colorful cherries and almonds, this fast-to-fix candy is a Christmas tradition at Rita Goshaw's home in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 'It's one of my family's favorite munchies while decorating the tree and wrapping presents, she comments.

Elegant little tea cookies with an almond pressed into the top. I like to cut the whole almonds in half to put on top of the cookies.

Cereal and peanuts add the crunch to these sweet and peanut-buttery treats you can whip up in no time. One batch makes plenty for snacking and sharing. At Christmas, my sister and I add them to trays of homemade candies we give to the customers of the house-cleaning service we run. We're often asked for the recipe.

My Mom got this recipe many years from a Chinese man who lived across the street from us when I was growing up. They are very good cookies and so easy to make.
