Superb Cranberry Sauce with Apples and Pears

Submitted by: Lisa Shafer
This cranberry sauce has extra spices, diced fruits, and orange juice added to make it more exciting than plain old cranberries. Everyone always loves this at Thanksgiving and it disappears fast! It's best when made the night before and left to rest in the refrigerator overnight so all the flavors can blend together.

Sea Bass with Honeyed Apples

Submitted by: Lola
Crispy fried fish topped with honeyed apples. This unique dish always get loads of compliments. Plus everyone is always surprised of the pairing of fish and apples. If you can't get sea bass, any firm white fleshed fish will work. Catfish is another fish that goes great with the apples.

Larra's Baked Spiced Apples and Oranges

Submitted by: Larra
I had oranges and apples in the house and couldn't find a recipe that used them both so I created this one. This is a great side-dish for a holiday gathering or would even be good as a dessert over French vanilla ice cream -- or even better if you cook this the night before and heat it up before serving. Enjoy!

This is so easy and delicious. Apples are cooked in orange juice, spiced with cinnamon, and spooned over ice cream. Great for your holiday dinner parties.

I LOVE harvesttime and being able to cook with all the fresh produce gathered from gardens and groves. Since there's so much of everything, I try to be creative by enhancing old recipes with slight variations. That's what happened with these baked apples. The spices and touch of orange make the flavor just perfect! --Lorraine Chausse Cornwall, Ontario

This is a memorable combination, especially when all warm and bubbly. There 's sugar for sweetness and vinegar for a bit of sour, and lots of cabbage and thinly sliced apples. Makes two generous servings.

Apples, onions, and grilled sausages make a perfect meal for Autumn. Try it served with boiled or roasted new potatoes, a mix of fresh vegetables, and some warm crusty bread!
