Very disappointing. Delicious aromas wafted from the pot, but all we got was a chunky mess. Bland flavor as well.

I'm looking for a really creamy sauce macaroni and cheese but that doesn't taste like the bright orange stuff - a more complex taste. This wasn't it, but macaroni and cheese is always good :-) If someone has another recipe suggestion - let me know!

I use up all the little leftover grated cheeses in this recipe. I never have leftovers when I serve this dish. VERY easy and good!! AAA+!

Kind of eggy, mushy and not very cheesy considering the amount of cheese in it. I like "cafeteria" baked macaroni and cheese, and I thought this would be similar. I think I'll go back to cooked elbows, Velveeta and a bit of milk.

I read the reviews before making this, and decided to give it a try. I cooked the mac 'n' cheese on low for 4 hours in the crockpot, instead of 5 or 6, and it was still too mushy. When I mixed it after it was done cooking, the cooked egg pieces were all through it- ewww~! I thought the egg would blend seamlessly with the other ingredients, but it didn't. My 6 year old daughter didn't like this and she normally loves mac. My husband wouldn't even eat it, because he said it's not really appetizing looking and he saw the egg and didn't want to try it. The mac 'n' cheese was very easy to prepare and that is the only good thing I can say about it. I made this to the tee and cannot figure out why so many love it. To each his own.

This really is a good recipe but 5 hours was much too long. Half the time is more like it. My kids are Mac & Cheese connoisseurs. They thought it was excellent.

I have made this a number of times and it always comes out good. I usually take it as a dish to pass at work. I put it together in the morning, plug it in at work and keep an eye on it. I've never been disappointed.

Very creamy macaroni recipe. Everyone was surprised that the noodles cooked for that long in a slow cooker. Did not dry out. No burns here. Family loved it!

The most that I can say about this recipe is that it almost tasted like the mac n'cheese that you can get from the box, but it was no where close the the appearance or consistency of that.. I was hoping for something creamier; instead, this turned out kind of chunky. With my CP, this was done after 5 hours. Sorry, it didn't taste bad, but I won't be making this again.

I read so many recipe reviews before I decided to make this one. My brother prefers a dry macaroni and cheese, so this was PERFECT for him. But, don't get me wrong, it was still moist and delicious. I mixed all liquid ingredients first (thoroughly with salt and pepper) then added the macaroni. Also, I used 2 c. shredded velveeta and 2 c. shredded sharp. It took about 3.5 hrs. to cook - 5 or 6 is a bit much. Next time, I might add a few pats of margarine on top. LOVED IT!

I tried this because I am craving homemade mac and cheese and I do not use the oven in the summer. This actually isn't that bad at all. It wasn't as creamy as mine cooked in the oven, but it wasn't that bad either. I did use 1 can of chedder cheese soup in the recipe, and 16 oz mac. Next time I think I will cut back to 2 cups cheese and 2 cans soup. All in all it is a decent recipe. Thanks!

Well, I read all of the reviews and thought maybe the bad reviews had something to do with not following the recipe exactly. I followed the recipe exactly and when I took the lid off of my slow cooker I was met with a big pot of mush with no taste. I ended up tossing it and opened a box of mac and cheese. This recipe will be filed under 'What Was I Thinking!’ To cook any pasta for 5 - 6 hours at ANY temperature spells disaster.

This was pretty good but the first thing my husband said was "does this have scrambled eggs in it?" So yes, you could taste the egg pretty well. We still liked it but people may want to be aware of that. It does not get a 5 because it's not as creamy as I like. I think next time I make it I'll just use 1 egg. It's very easy and cheesy!

I was so excited to try this recipe seeing I love homemade mac & cheese and love using my crockpot. But this was a bit disappointing. I thought the noodles were very soggy. I had added garlic to this seeing I do that to almost all my recipes but it still didnt spice it up enough.

I was dissapointed in the way this turned out. After reading the reviews I was hoping for the best but that didn't happen with this recipe. It turned out lumpy and not anywhere near creamy at all. I doubled this for my 5-qt crockpot. I used cubed cheddar cheese and also added a pkg of cream cheese. My fiance tried stirring it and the wooden spoon broke! Maybe it was my fault for the way it turned out but I won't be making this again. We did salvage most of this by adding a lb of hamburger and some taco seasoning.
