Absolutely wonderful! Made according to recipe & it turned out perfect! What a quick, easy, and hearty meal... for a working mom & just delightful to come in to a warm thick soup on a cold winter evening. 5-stars in my book!

I liked this a lot!! MY husband and his friend ate it right up. I reduced the boullion to 6 cubes, added more carrots, cut the salt requirement in half..increased to 3 potatoes. I found a can of crushed tomatoes that had an italian taste to it...it included oregano and basil in it. It was yummy!!

If I ever made this again I would use maybe three or four boullion cubes at the most.

Much too salty--even cutting back on the bouillon to 6 cubes, and using less salt. Nobody would eat it! I'll stick to my old recipe.

Yum! We really enjoyed this. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I altered it somewhat. I reduced boullion to 6 cubes and left out the salt because I don't usually cook with salt. I also reduced pepper to 1 tsp so it wouldn't be too spicy for the kids. It turned out really great. I think next time I'll only put 5 cubes of boullion in or maybe try reduced sodium beef broth. This is purely a personal choice. My husband's family usually adds salt to whatever I cook. As far as salt goes, I just feel like it's better to put in too little and add to it then to put in too much and no one will eat it. Thanks for the recipe. I will definately make this again.

Very good, like others, I reduced the bouillon, added onion and green pepper. Next time I will add a few more potatos and I think I am going to add barley. But even my daughter who isn't a big fan of soup licked her bowl clean. Thanks

This was really good. My husband said that you could can this and sell it! The meat isn't as tender as I hoped, but overall this soup has a wonderful taste and was a big success! Thanks for the recipe!!!

I really enjoyed this recipe. Made some changes, used 6 bouillon cubes, used stewed tomatoes instead of crushed, used a little less salt and pepper. Turned out great, my husband loved it, and I will continue making it throughout the winter. THANKS!

Lots of flavor! My family loved it. Did cut back the boullion cubes to 8 and didn't add the salt based on other reviews.

This was wonderful, however I did make some changes based on other reviews. I omitted the salt, used three cups of water, halved the tomato (I used diced with basil), only used mixed frozen vegetables, and used 1.5 teaspoons of pepper. The result was a great soup (not a stew) and was not too salty. I will definitely make again, however may try using 9 bouillon cubes next time. I served with a sour dough baguette and everyone loved it.

I'll try it again without all that boullion. 10 CUBES!! That's WAY too much. Isn't the rule of thumb 1 cube/cup of water? Even with the water from the tomatoes, this isn't justifiable b/c canned tomatoes have their own salt.

This recipe has an out of proportion of black pepper. When I made the recipe it was so peppery that we were unable to eat it. I should have reallized that it was way too much pepper.

I really enjoyed this recipe, but my huband and family felt it had too much salt and pepper. I will try to make it again with less boullion and no salt added, and halfing the amount of pepper.

This stew was a BIG hit in my family. Everyone loved that fact that it almost had a spicy bite to it and the fact that it was so harty. Thank you for this excellent recipe!
