Pretty good, although I tried substituting evaporated milk for the cream and that didn't work so well. But good flavor - I added garlic as suggested.

This sauce was so yummy! I used evaporated milk instead of heavy cream (its what I had). I was extremely satisfied with the result.

Very good! I was sure to add some garlic powder and a couple tbsps of cream cheese- a worthy addition. I add fresh parsley to all my sauces, so I did that too, which is also very nice.

Fantastic, rich sauce! I did as some had suggested and added garlic and pepper. I used it on manicotti which had plenty of red sauce. If you are going to be using this sauce for an alfredo dish, you will have to double or triple the recipe.

Really great sauce. I did add a small amount of mozzarella and, of course, garlic to this. With cooked chicken and broccoli on homemade egg noodles, it was fantastic. The sauce itself was slightly runny; however, it soaked into the noodles. Don't know if it would soak into store-bought noodles as well. I'll make this again.

I used to cook for a well know Chicago Italian restaurant. This is the recipe they use to a T! You can even mix all the ingred together and heat stirring constantly over low-med heat until thick. Romano is KEY for flavor! (if you use only parm, it will be bland) Nutmeg brings out the creaminess and also importaint!. If you want this thicker, add 1 extra yolk. It really does not change the flavor and will thicken much more, and quicker. (we did that on really busy nights:) You can use any pasta and add broccoli, garlic, shrimp, chicken... anything you might want! The possiblities are endless! YUM!!!!! try this recipe! I NEVER had this sauce break once! Belive me I have made this sauce HUNDREDS of times! Stirring constantly over a med or low heat will do the trick! TRY THIS YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Delicious! I used only parmesan cheese & added fresh minced garlic and pepper. My husband said it was better than any restaurants Alfredo sauce that he has ever tried. I will definately make again.

Very easy and REALLY delicious. I didn't have heavy cream, so I used FF half and half, and it was still very thick and creamy! I will definitely add this to my frequent dinner line-up.

ive tried making alfredo sauces many times in the past, but it was never thick enough or just bland... this one was very good... a great base... some tips- after i boiled the pasta and drained it, i melted the butter in the hot pan, added the cream, seasonings and egg... once everything dissolved, i then turned the heat on and let it simmer while stirring... beautifully thick and rich... i also added some garlic salt, parsley, dill and black pepper... very good sauce!

This recipe tasted fantastic! It smelled wonderful and it had a great color. The only drawback was that is was VERY thick. Too thick, I think. Next time I make this, I will definitely cut back on the cheese a little. I used 1/2 cup fresh Parmesan (yeah, the good stuff) because I didn't have Romano and it was very rich and very creamy. Great recipe though! It had good flavor!

I'm so full! That was delicious. I added 2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 an onion, and a teaspoon of red pepper flakes. I had to use shredded mozzerella and it still tasted like it was from a restaruant!

this was not as creamy as I was hoping for. It also needs some additional spice, its fairly bland, though maybe it just depends on the type of cheese you use...
