Very easy to make & wonderfully velvety. But tasted too tangy, like cream cheese

This was by far the best alfredo sauce I have ever made. I like it much better than even restaurants. It was SO easy to make and has so few ingredients! Thanks so much for sharing!

This is a very easy recipe and does not take long to make at all. I didn't have cream so I used milk with a butter and flour rue to thicken it a little. It is a little bland but it is also easy to customize. I put some sundried tomatoes in my mom's portion and some sauteed mushrooms and spinach in mine and it was great. I also added a little bit of cream cheese to make it creamier and help thicken it a bit.

The pasta was already cooking and YIKES I'm out of spaghetti sauce! I whipped this up in no time and the family loved it! I added minced garlic and onion since it was already prepared... was a great compliment. Thanks for this recipe!

This recipe is very good. And its very easy to make. It took me longer to cook the pasta than to make the sauce. I served it with some steamed broccoli and grilled chicken breast. It's a fast recipe for a weeknight meal. I agree with other reviews that the key to a smooth sauce is whisking nearly constantly. And fresh grated Parmesan is essential.

I have reviewed quite a few alfredo recipes here with good ratings, HOWEVER I do know that this is a true restaurant style alfredo sauce, and I don't mean the ol' olive garden close to the mall.. I mean a quality Italian restaurant. to make alfredo, most chefs simply melt butter, add cream, maybe garlic, toss in real Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, toss in fresh pasta & serve... the cheese melts as it sits in the hot pasta.

I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out so bland it was practically tasteless. Perhaps next time I'll add bacon or other more flavorful toppings and see how it goes.

This tasted amazing! I did do some minor changes though. I added the garlic to the butter in the pan as I was melting it and I added 1 tablespoon of cream cheese to it and substracted some of the parmesan cheese. The cream cheese made it taste a lot creamier.

I prefer a lot more seasonings in my cooking but this was a great recipe to jump off of. The cheese and cream combo was great - you just have to wisk it really well as it cooks to get a creamy consistency. I seasoned the sauce with a pinch of salt, white pepper and garlic powder. I added sauteed chicken that I seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, basil and oregano. I also added some diced tomatoes and served it over fresh fettucini. Pretty good!
