Wow. This soup cannot possibly be good for your arteries, but it was sooooo tasty! It was by far the most delicious turkey rice soup I've ever eaten! It made a ton so we gave some away and froze some to eat for later...which might get eaten tomorrow. Wouldn't change a thing when making it next time...thank you...it's a keeper in our house!

I followed the recipe exactly as written (as people really should do if they are going to rate, otherwise you're rating your own recipe not the posted one). This soup is absolutely delicious! Whether or not to use the amount of butter listed is mostly a matter of taste and diet preference. Remember though, the butter+flour is part of what makes this so thick and creamy.

Delicious! It really doesn't need any butter. I only added 1-2 tablespoons at the end to just give it a more rich flavor - but could easily go without. The soup was very very dense, so I added more stock. Next time I will also reduce the amount of flour to only 1-2 tablespoons. Added rosemary, chopped parsley and thyme. We all loved it!

The absolutely best soup; very rich and yummy. I followed several reviews and added a little stuffing, a little rice and a little pasta. Didn't have any fat-free half and half and cut back a little bit on the butter. The crusty french bread which someone suggested was a great idea. My husband doesn't usually like cream-based soups but he has had two big bowls of it and I just made it last night. A winner!

This passed the family test! No major alterations except I used 2% milk and everyone still loved it. I will definitely keep this recipe on hand in my recipe rolodex.

It was good, I don't think I'll make it again though. I am more of a fan of brothy soups, if you like creamy soups then this is for you! It definitely made a lot!

Never made turkey soup before...never made a turkey before actually!! We just got a breast and didn't keep the carcass part. So I just used chicken broth. Turned out really yummy! Thanks for the great recipe :) For the record it made tons! I froze 4 servings and left 4 in the fridge. Only 2 of us in the house haha.

YUM YUM YUM. I added potatoes when I added the turkey and then threw in some cranberries for the last 10 minutes. I also sauteed the veggies with some cooking sherry. It was out of this world.

Whoever submitted this deserves a big pat on the back. Don't go by the awful picture shown, because this soup is a real show stopper. The only thing I change is adding more chicken bouillion and other seasonings to taste. I also add fresh rosemary and I think that really sets it apart from the ordinary. I know your tired after cooking Thanksgiving dinner, but believe me this one is totaly worth it. This freezes well if you are not able to eat all after it is made.

Good stuff. I used a LOT of turkey to use up leftovers... Nice flavor and color, a little bland for our tastes. Lots of salt and pepper seemed to do the trick.

I used salad-roni pasta instead of the rice, and also added some chopped leftover green beans from my garden. The family loved it!
