This is the quickest and easiest way to make Sauerbraten that was handed down by my grandmother. Our family has always used a pressure cooker. However, a Dutch oven or large pot may be substituted but this would increase the cooking time.

Mensaf, the traditional national dish of Jordan, layers pita bread and rice with stewed lamb chunks in a goat's milk sauce. Spices, onions, garlic, and butter can also be added to season the sauce. You can choose whether to eat mensaf the traditional Jordanian way, standing up and rolling the rice into balls with your hands, or use a fork.
