I made this as described. I served it at a bbq party and received many compliments. I'm still craving these crunchy cucumbers that are very pickle-ish.

My dad made this all the time when I was growing up it's one of my favorite salads. If you want to make this even easier use seasond rice vinegar instead of vinegar and sugar. That's how my dad makes it and I don't use the dill but that's just how me and my dad like it.

Tastes great and very easy. Great for quick nights or no fuss side dish for company. I cut back just a little on the sugar.

This is nearly exactly how I've always marinated my cucumbers, but I never thought to add dill and LOVE it!

I love this stuff. I salted the cucumbers with Penzey's shallot salt and after an hour squeezed out more than a cup of liquid. I didn't add water to the white balsamic vinegar that I used and substituted Splenda for the sugar. I took this to work for lunch and everyone wanted to taste it. Eeeeew! Boy cooties. LOL I was happy to share and everyone loved it as much as I did and wanted the recipe.

For some reason, I rebelled and added a cup of sugar instead of 3/4 a cup. Mistake! Was too sweet. If i'd of done it right, it would have been perfect. that constant sweet tooth of mine.

This is a great recipe, but I skip the dill-i add a small jar of chopped pimentos like our deli does. It's great!

These were pretty sugary. I think they are very good...just can't eat a whole lot of them in one sitting. Less sugar would prolly get a 5 star rating from me.

Very tasty! I halved the ingredients and used one cucumber. I used fresh dill and added garlic. I did not boil the ingredients, I just threw it all together and let it sit and it was great!

I liked the flavor but I don't think I would call it a salad. My family thought they were pickles and they did taste like it. I'd serve it as a side, but not as a salad.

YUMMY! This is a wonderful, cold summer salad that would be good as a side dish at a BBQ or a by itself as a lunch munchie. I am one of those that usually will change up any recipe but on this one....I didn't (and wouldn't) change a thing!
