it really needs fresh dill, and less sugar (I used 1/4 c)

Great, easy recipe! I made the following changes: decreased sugar to 1/2 cup, used scallions instead of onion, and added thin-sliced green pepper (I had a small one from the garden). Delicious!

Excellent! I needed a way to use some of the extra cucumbers from my garden and this did the trick. I laid out my sliced cucumbers on paper towel and then sprinkled with salt to draw out excess water. I also used red onions to add some color. My family is thrilled that I found this recipe!

This is a very good recipe. I was pleasantly surprised when I took my first bite. I had been looking for something to do with cucumbers from our garden, and this hit the spot.

I have made this dozens of times. It has become my go to salad for BBQs and picnics. I normally cool the liquids before adding them to the cucs and onions. I like the vegies to remain crisp. It's great the way it is or it's fun to change the type of vinegar or use a red onion. I've even added a thinly sliced granny smith apple before for a fun twist.

Great recipe! So easy and the kids just loved it. I do have to remove most of the dill from the kids servings, though. They like the taste of it, just not the look :-). Thanks for sharing!

Delicious! My husband hate dill so I just left that out. He hates vinegar too, but he loved this recipe.

This was great! I added a 1/2 tsp of celery seed. Also, I used 1/2 cup red wine vinegar and 1/2 cup white. Turned out great! Put red onion in it for color. Great recipe!

I've made this great recipe abut 10 times. Here's how to make it even better with fewer calories and easier to make: Stir together in one small bowl: 1/2 cup white vinegar, 1/4 cup splenda (or sugar if you don't have splenda), 1/4 cup water and as much dill as you'd like (I prefer about 3 tablespoons to give it a strong dill flavor). Do not heat and set aside liquid. Peel two large cucumbers leaving some of the green skin on the cucumbers for color. Slice cucumbers thinly. Put cucumbers in sealable plastic baggie. Thinly slice one large red onion (again for color) and mix with your hand with the sliced cucumbers. Pour liquid in baggie over cucumbers and onion and seal baggie. Put in frig to cool and marinade. Excellent refreshing salad with almost no calories.

I just now noticed that you're supposed to heat the dressing! OOPS! Well, it comes out wonderful even if you skip that step. I'd also suggest to decrease the dill by half. AND I really suggest peeling your cucumbers and they really soak up the dressing better!

Made 1 serving using a small cucumber from my garden. Tasted great! Sweet and easy compared to my usual cucmber salad (cucumber, vinegar, salt, and pepper).

Yum! This was so easy and very delicious! I'll be making this again soon because I have lots of cucumbers in my garden and this is the best way I've found to use them up.

This recipe was good, but if you're looking for a real winner, try Dilly Cucumber Salad. It's like this one but has twice the flavor.
