this is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe by far. I took the advice of one of the reviews and melted the butter, i also put 1c sugar, 1c brown sugar and used 2 tablespoons of regular vanilla extract, added 3/4c chopped pecans, and used semi sweet chocolate chips. I baked them for 11 min and the cookies turned out crisp on the out sides and moist and chewy on the inside and soooo delicious. i will from now own use this recipe. i had used another recipe and thought it was good but this recipe is the all out best chocolate chip recipe i have ever tried.

Recipe lives up to it's name! I made these cookies for my boyfriend to celebrate our 6 month anniversary. I just made them, so he hasn't tried them yet but, I'm sure he'll love them. I think they're good! Thanks!

I used all butter and took one other persons recommendation to melt the butter and use 1T of vanilla. The cookies are delicious. They are brown and a little crisp around the edges but very soft in the middle! Love them!

I baked these and was really impressed with how they turned out. My husband thought that they were "from a box" and the kids kept sneaking them from the cooling rack. I did have to substitute for NZ products (cant get crisco, used marg/butter blend), - but awesome cookies. Thanks!

My husbands words to this one were "delicious". I can say I do agree with him. I also added butterscotch and white chocolate chips to this

Sorry - but this is the recipe that is on the back of the Nestle Chocolate Chip bag - the only difference is they use butter, and you used butter flavored crisco - a really tasty way is to add a stick of butter, and 1/2 stick of butter flavored crisco - the cookies won't go flat on the cookie sheet

Very good! The Crisco makes these cookies very moist. I left a plate on the counter all day for my roommates to enjoy while I was at class and work and by the time I got home they were as if I had just baked them! I sent the majority of the cookies to my boyfriend via mail and although they haven't arrived yet, I'm willing to bet they will still be just as moist!

Great Cookies!!! A staple at my house. I like to use the mini chocolate chips with them. As with all cookies be sure and not over bake! I use regular vanilla, tried the Mexican kind and didn't care for it as much.

Tried this today and there is nothing extraordinary about this cookie. Not much of a taste, basic recipe from the butter flavored crisco package. Followed the recipe exactly, won't be making this again. A real baker would know this is nothing to write home about.

Love this cookie- we added a tbs of cinnamon (MMMmmMM) and used plain crisco w/o a problem. You can find Mexican Vanilla in the "ethnic" aisle in most Wal-Mart stores. Sometimes you can get 1/2 a gallon for 2-3$

I've made this recipe several times and without fail they have come out to be the best cookie ever. I've made them following the recipe exactly and I've made them with some revisions to the recipe and they've always come out perfectly. They are pretty sweet and I use a whole bag of chocolate chip chunks, so that may be why. I'll have to have my boyfriend try them to give a somewhat unbiased answer :)
