My life is better for eating this scampi. Thank you very much. This is a definite way to impress that significant other who thinks you're cooking stinks.

I am not a seafood eater but my husband is. Always felt guilty about his love for shrimp and lack of every getting it at home. Thought I'd surprise him and found this recipe, crossing my fingers on it being good. Other than cleaning the shrimp (my first time ever!)I was able to quickly put this together before he came back from a golf outing. While he got started grilling the Jack Daniels marinated steaks, I started the scampi. Imagine his surprise! He loved it and said it was the best scampi he's ever had! He's very honest about things like that, but it was truly confirmed when he called his parents to let them know about the wonderful dinner he had!

A great recipe. Coating the shrimp in flour gives the sauce a bit of extra body and the shrimp more flavor. Brandy can be ommitted. Lemon, garlic, and wine can easily be adjusted. The best!

Shrimp Scampi is so easy to make, but this recipe kills that effect. It's good but it is not the best.

Very good. I was a bit disappointed in the quantity - three adults ate the entire dish in one sitting. If you have a few guests, make a double batch or it will be a tiny yield for such a long ordeal!

This recipe was very good. However, I would have liked a little more "tang" (e.g., lemon or salt flavor). There was too much oil - I might try sauteing with more white wine next time. I served the shrimp alone as hors deurves and they all went!

Very tasty, I added a little garlic powder along with the cloves and I did not put it under the broiler. I served it over very think spagetti. I will keep this one, Thanks!

Sauce was too thick for my tastes and it takes forever to devein the shrimp, but it tasted really good.

Very good although the coating of the shrimp with the flour mixture can be skipped. Didn't really do much to the flavor. Needs more olive oil.

This was a delicious version of the dish. However, the wine and brandy evaporated almost immediately upon pouring it into the pan.

Mmmm...this is wonderful! Next time, though, I'll try omitting the flour dredging and put those spices directly into the olive oil (w/o the flour) That seemed like an extra step and time. I'll also try less olive oil, and try more of a stir fry. My store had no shallots, so I minced 1/8 cup sweet onion, which was fine. I remake only the recipes we love, and this is one of them. Fabulous! Thanks, K. Mitschke!

When I made this recipe the kids didn't come home for dinner. What a shame, my husband and I had to eat it all by ourselfs. Great recipe! Would serve to company.

This was really good, my husband says "absolutely the best". I couldn't get the alcohol to ignite, but it tasted fine anyway, great flavor. I will use larger shrimp next time (less peeling). I served it with buttered angel hair pasta and a salad.
