Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

“This is the 'secret' Greek dressing recipe from the pizzeria that I work at. The recipe makes almost a gallon but can be scaled down easily. It can be used for picnics and travels very well, since it doesn't need to be refrigerated. This is the best dressing I have ever tasted, people offer to buy it constantly, but if we sold it we wouldn't be able to make enough to use in the restaurant!”

I found this recipe a couple of years ago, but never rated it. I made it and have done so several times. It has become a staple in our house. Very tasty, easy to put together and makes a good amount.

SUPER quick to blend up...I make a batch, and in a separate sealable container, throw the dry ingredients in for another time. Amazing taste..I made a Greek Pasta salad with it for a family gathering, and everyone raved!

Holy cow, this is some good stuff! My boyfriend and I both swear that we will NEVER buy bottled italian/house/greek salad dressing again. I scaled the recipe down to 20 and it *almost* fit into a 16 oz salad dressing bottle that I had (because of this I had to leave out about 1/3 cup of the vinegar, but it was still good). Next time I'll scale it to 15 servings so that it will fit.

very good, the second time I made it I was out of red wine vinegar so I used cider vinegar instead, I also added 1/2 tsp of red wine. and a few dashes of basalmic vinegar. The addition of the basalmic and cider vinegars as well as the red wine added a slight sweetness that I really enjoyed.

This is amazing! I have been craving a good greek dressing since I have been to some greek restaurants lately and this really hit the spot! I used the recommendation of using the same amount of vinegar and oil. I will definitely be keeping a bottle of this in my fridge, it is absolutely delicious!

This dressing was great. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! I followed the recipe as written and just scaled it down to about 12 servings. It justfit in my cruet!

Poured over canned green,kidney, garbanzo and wax beans. Added onion and green and red peppers, all the ingredients in bean salad. This is WAY better and not so sweet. It goes with everything. Yum.

I usually reserve my "OH MY GOSH" comments for desserts...but this rocks the world, it is SO AWESOME!!! Put it on Mediterranean Greek Salad from this website and I seriously can't stop eating it. Only changes I made were: cut serving down from 120 to 12 and cut back a little on the vinegar. MAKE IT, you won't be sorry!!!

Excellent dressing! I scaled way back and this turned out fantastic...similar to another 'Classic' dressing I often make from one of my cookbooks. Yummy flavour and simple to whip up. Used this on Party-Size Greek Couscous Salad from this site. So good!
