Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

“This is the 'secret' Greek dressing recipe from the pizzeria that I work at. The recipe makes almost a gallon but can be scaled down easily. It can be used for picnics and travels very well, since it doesn't need to be refrigerated. This is the best dressing I have ever tasted, people offer to buy it constantly, but if we sold it we wouldn't be able to make enough to use in the restaurant!”

I really loved this dressing on New Twist To An Old Favorite salad from this site (which did not have a dressing written into the recipe). I think this dressing would be a hit with any Greek-type salad or as a marinade. Flavor and texture are perfect. Thanks for the recipe!

MARINATE CHICKEN: This is the first time that I have reviewed a recipe but I had to sign up just to review this one. I made the BIG batch of this dressing and I did not know what I was going to do the the leftovers so I marinated some chicken in the leftovers. It was wonderful!!

This is the best homemade Greek Dressing recipe I have ever found! I think I have made them all in my quest for the perfect dressing :). It was just a tiny bit tart for my taste, but adding a bit of sugar made it perfect!! My quest is over. Thanks for the great recipe, Danielle!!

UNfreakingBELIEVABLE! MAGNIFICO. This is the *ONE*, folks. Danielle, you are a *gem* for posting this, THANK YOU! I've been so utterly dissatisfied with the Grecian dressings on the market, and I've been spoiled by formerly regularly consuming the ~BEST~ & most amazing Greek dressing from an authentic Grecian restaurant in Chicago. I moved out of state over a year ago, and had to resort to the bottled dressings, which have all been great disservice to my Greek salads. This recipe you have betrothed to us tastes -very- similar to the one I crave from the restaurant, and -much- healthier than any bottled deal. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! YUMMAY ;~)

Oooopa! and Sagapo - as a friend. This is a fantastic dressing. I scaled it to 10 servings so it would be family size for one meal. Worked perfectly. Thanks for sharing. Please post more recipes from the restaurant - perhaps chicken?

Really great, versatile dressing. I usually squeeze half a lemon over the salad (either greens or pasta) before adding the dressing and it brightens it up nicely! Definite keeper!

Fabulous recipe!! This dressing is now an absolute regular in our home! I too used equal parts of oil and vinegar; I scaled down the recipe to 12. I served this at two separate dinner parties and everyone raved about this dressing. I'd give it 10 stars!

This is super. I didn't have any dried onion, so substituted fress minced Walla Walla sweet onions. I also added the juice from 1 lemon. I suppose I just can't leave any recipe 'as is'!

Great dressing! It was exactly what you expect a greek salad to taste like. I didn't have any dijon mustard so I used dried mustard instead and it was great. Thanks for sharing!
