Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

“This is the 'secret' Greek dressing recipe from the pizzeria that I work at. The recipe makes almost a gallon but can be scaled down easily. It can be used for picnics and travels very well, since it doesn't need to be refrigerated. This is the best dressing I have ever tasted, people offer to buy it constantly, but if we sold it we wouldn't be able to make enough to use in the restaurant!”

Have to say I did not care for this. It tasted too much like dry ingredients, may try again with some fresh ingredients and more olive oil.

Exceptional!!! I can imagine that if people didn't have olive oil around, they could use canola oil and it would taste fine that way also. The only thing I different was I used Italian Seasoning in place of the oregano for an extra kick. I also didn't have red wine vinegar so I used balsamic vinegar and it was still excellent! Great recipe.

This is remarkably like "Newman's Own" original salad dressing. It was way too vinegary for us but with some small adjustments (a little water, more oil and a bit of sugar) it is now very workable in a variety of salads.
