This was really good! I added some salsa, and a can of tomato juice concentrate for more flavor without more spice.

My family gave this high praise and I totally agree. The dish was easy to prepare and had ingredients that I have normally in my house. The taste was very good with nothing overwhelming all the other ingredients. I added approx 3/4 cup of bbq sauce and may even up that next time due to personal taste.

We quite enjoyed this recipe. For the sake of dishes I cooked the rice and beans together (both needed about 20 min to cook), made a very nice one pot dish. The kids wanted extra bbq sauce over their meal, and the leftovers went great wrapped in a tortilla with some extra bbq sauce, called them bbq burritos. Thanks bestcooker
