Alright, what is the difference between the different oatmeals offered in the aisle? I don't mean the prepared oatmeal cereals.

I have a ton of shredded rotiseree chicken. I made broth to make tortilla soup and used some in that. Now what to do with the leftovers?

Good evening everyone, I bought some chicken wild rice soup for dinner and it tastes like flour, very bland...what can I do to make it edible? Any ideas? Thank you!

Question: (1 answer)

Flour & Cornstarch.... I want to make this recipe: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/cream-corn-like-no-other/?soid=home_pins_5 but I have had too many failures trying to make gravy with flour that I don't even want to bother. The times I was successive it wasn't worth the time standing at the stove to make it succeed. I read all the reviews and I know people hate it when people change a recipe but I really want to make it. I want to use cornstarch instead of flour to thicken and I've heard other people ( in reviews ) say they have done so. My question is... will the cornstarch give it an odd flavour? I've only every used cornstarch for gravy so I am a bit weary. I'm a HUGE cream corn fan (out of the can is the only stuff i've ever had) but I have changed the way we have been eating in the last month (getting paranoid at what I buy in boxes and whatnot). And frankly, I can't afford all the cream corned my kids want to eat aside of other canned veggies LOL

Question: (1 answer)

I want to make the " tangerine butter cookies",in the Better Homes and Garden's recipe page, and I would like to use regular flour instead of cornmeal, do you think it would be ok to tweak it this way? Would I be ruining the recipe? Thanks for your help

Hi buzzers! I'm craving a pumpkin baked good. I was browsing my recipes but just not sure what I want to make tomorrow. Love some of your favorites, new and old. I'll share the one I'm contemplating. BTW have pure pumpkin, not pie mix. Small can, 15 or 160z I think. THANKS!! I'll be back either later if I can't sleep or mid-morning!!!!

Hi everyone! We just arrived home from a long weekend in SoCal's Temecula wine country, primarily to attend our nephew's wedding a a over-the-top gorgeous winery! What a treat! After all the rich food we've eaten, I'm making wild-caught King salmon for dinner. Got it for a song on sale! I'd like to take the easy route on the pasta side - angel hair pasta dressed with artichoke-sundried toamto bruschetta, topped with shaved asiago, pec. romano and parm cheese. Will it work? Thanks all!
