There is a peanut butter cookie recipe on here calling for 1/2 tsp of kosher salt. Will it flub up the recipe if I just use regular? I do not have kosher on hand. Thanks in advance....

I made a cheesecake last night and it didn't turn out well :( I have a new oven and am still learning how to use it. It doesn't seem to maintain temp well. Anyway, my cheesecake is overcooked and cracked. I don't have time to make another. Looking for your best ideas to cover the top. I've seen several recipe for a sour cream layer that look good. But, my cheesecake has been in the fridge overnight and those recipes say to stick it back in the oven after adding the sour cream layer. I'm afraid to do this with a cold cheesecake and one that is already overcooked. What do you think? Thanks!

Question: (1 answer)

Can I freeze a ham 'steak' or slice? We are vegetarians. My mother requested this for me to make her on Xmas. I bought a quality piece yesterday at a butcher shop. They suggested I freeze it until the night before. It occurs to me that I rarely see ham frozen...will it be all right to follow his instructions? Thank you.

Good morning, I was wondering if any of you use Golden Syrup in your cooking? I found a recipe that uses it and am going to make some just for fun. Just curious if you know any other recipes that call for it?

Looking for restaurant recommendations in Panama City Beach, FL. Nothing too expensive (as there will be 5 of us), but somewhere with good food and atmosphere.

Do you have a recipe for creamy peanut butter fudge that uses mini marshmallows instead of the jar type. The creamiest ever preferred. Thank you

We are gluten free. Recipes which are gluten free are the only ones we can use. Some (LIKE SLOW COOKER ONES) I am able to modify. Fresh veggies are good. We do not entertain or eat out. Marilyn

Good morning everyone I'm in a bit of a situation as I will be headed over to my in laws later today & I wanted to make a cake for them but as I just moved my pantry is not very well stocked yet. I currently only have flour, something I assume is shortening(says vegetable ghee on it), baking powder, cornstarch, honey, rosewater, vegetable oil, vinegar (white & apple cider), white sugar, vanillin with sugar, bananas, oranges, lemons, a pomegranate, some dates, milk & 8 eggs. Now I haven't baked in a while, so I'm wondering if any of you has any sort of foolproof recipe I can make with what I have. I appreciate it so much, & thanks for your help
