I wanted to ask Chef John a question about his Simply Roasted Artichokes recipe - how do you serve it? Just peel the leaves and eat, or do you dip them in something? I grew up in California, and one of my favorite dishes was artichokes - mom wasn't much of a cook, but her artichokes boiled in salt water I just loved! We dipped the leaves in melted margarine ( we never had real butter in the house, now I won't use anything but), and I ate the WHOLE THING, down to the choke, then screaped it and ate the heart, too! I now live in Oklahoma, and it's hard to find decent artichokes, but I do try occasionally; anyway - Just wondering - thanks!
