I know it takes about 3 hours to cook a corned beef brisket...but what I am unclear about is if I put 2 or 3 briskets in the same large pot, do I need to simmer for 1 hour/pound...for the same three hours. Or do I now have to increase the time to adjust to the total weight of (say) 6 pounds for 6 hours, or 9 pounds for 9 hours? The recipes always say 3 pounds but for a large family, I use 2-3 corned briskets...all in the same pot. Help me with the time I need to simmer them...Thanks for answering.
