OK...Here's a question for all you wonderful helpers here: I started a crock pot with beef stew meat (in 1/2" pieces) and veggies about 9am (2+ hours ago, it's bubbly now) on low. I plan on serving about 6-7pm. We just got word that we need to leave our house from 3:15 - 4:15 for a house showing(it's up for sale - we can't have it smelling like dinner!). So...can I stop the cooking now, throw it in the fridge, then in the oven at 4:15 to bake in time for dinner? Hmmmm. Any suggestions?
