This is to Goodfood. I am not sure if the answer I sent to the link that came with the "Someone answered your request" made it to the Buzz or not, sooo...... What I am trying to do is convert a regular bread recipe to a sourdough recipe. The recipe I want to convert calls for 1 1/2 cups water, a sourdough recipe for a loaf of the same weight (2 lbs) calls for 1 1/4 cups sourdough starter and 3/4 cups water. My attempts a substitution of sourdough starter to water so far have not yielded a good loaf. Any idea what the conversion should be for starter to other liquid?
