Used my broiler for the first time tonight. First of all, can I just say..."What the heck took me so long!!!". Hehe. It was so simple to do. I will admit though, I over cooked the ham I made. The recipe said it should be cooked 8-10 minutes, but did one of those hide the most important instruction in the middle of the recipe. It wasn't until after I cooked it for about 6 minutes then checked on the meat & the recipe that I realized the meat was almost cooked and I hadn't put the glaze on yet. I only checked it cause I was getting nervous about over cooking. Guess that was my natural cooking instincts coming through. At any rate, I glazed it, flipped it, glazed it again and then let it caramelize. Of course by then the damage was done. But even though it was almost as tough as leather, the family loved the flavor. So, I will be making it again. See recipe inside if interested.
