Question: (2 answers)

What is 'instant espresso powder'? May be obvious to me when I get to the store and look, but since I don't know, I thought I would ask first, even for brand names if you've ever used a product like this. I'm assuming it's like instant coffee, only strong like espresso? I know...duh. This is for a cake. If this stuff is expensive, I may just pick another recipe!!

I am planning on making homemade pizza this weekend at the lake. I always use Jay's Signature Pizza Dough. Do you think if I prebaked the crusts and brought them with me, the crusts would be ok to just put the toppings on and finish baking?

I'm not sure "where" to ask this question ... why don't the recipes include serving sizes? For instance, if a recipe is 8 servings of "oriental slaw", how much is 1 serving? I realize that once I make the recipe I can measure it out myself, but it would be nice to have these measurements included with the recipes.

Thanks, everyone, for all of your suggestions for feeding my friends who popped in after work yesterday. I did not have an opportunity to read all your responses before leaving for the grocery store, but I truly appreciate your ideas. You folks are just great! Oh, by the way,if want to add a little stress to your life, try dropping a very large slab of watermelon on your kitchen floor just before your guests arrive! Add points if it splatters the appliances, walls and those pesky baseboards...

OT tip for the day to make your own oxyclean use equal parts of washing soap and hydrogen peroxide (1/4 cup and 1/4 cup is all you need) add to your wash ad you will use 25%-30% less laundry soap and it releases oxygen and raises the PH level which cleans your laundry a lot better and removes stains. ;)
