Is it really necessary to refrigerate "red" spices like paprika, chili powder, cayenne? 'Been doing it, but is it really a have-to kind of thing?

Hi Lela, my high altitude friend! I'm running to school now but I wanted to ask you when you are planning on making the carrot cake. I need to make one for Saturday and I'm curious to find out which recipe works for you. I'll be back on the Buzz after 2:30pm. Thanks much!

Don, for your cheese straws do you leave them flat or roll them into straws? If so, roll after baking when still warm like a tuile?

My baby's baby shower theme is "Puff the Magic Dragon". I'm looking for fun food and drink ideas to fit the theme. What do they eat in Honalee? Game ideas also welcome. Thanks!

Hi all! I'm looking for recipes for lots of peppers. I mean, lots and lots of random peppers. I got some manager's special bags today at my grocer this morning. (I have no clue what in the world I was thinking.) I have 9 bells, 3 green, 2 red, and 4 orange. 14 sweet banana peppers, 2 Anaheim peppers, 2 poblano peppers, 6 fresno peppers, 12 jalapenos, and about a dozen or so peppers that I have no clue what they are (either habaneros or small sweet peppers, or both?). Again, I don't know what I was thinking, but all of the peppers were only $4 and you just can't pass up on that kind of deal!) Thanks in advance, and I'd rather not make Chili if I can help it. I'm thinking maybe some red mole sauce or something? I'm open to any ideas or suggestions. I also have a dozen limes... ***What was I THINKING?***

I am taking the enclosed recipe to a covered dish supper tonight so here I sit hoping the slow cooker isn't burning my house down. Having been through two house fires I know I am paranoid but am I the only one? Wish I had stuck with my plan to bring dessert but we didn't have enough sign up for a main dish. So, sucker that I am, I switched. And now here I sit, filled with anxiety!

Healthy snack ideas for camping? We're going away this weekend and all the snacks I'm finding are s'mores and things drenched in sugar. I plan on bringing cut up fruit but anyone have any other ideas? I need to get this baby weight off, not add to it. TIA!

Lucky Noodles--here we go! 'cleaning casserole' - try it you will be amazed Get rid of all the grime collected from cooking in your oven easily. Simply fill a casserole dish with water and two lemons, including peels, halved and juiced. Cook your 'cleaning casserole' for an hour at 300 degrees. The steam from the water will loosen dirt, which will make it easy to clean with a sponge. The lemon oils disinfects the oven too! ---
